IU Mens/Womens Swimming and Diving

The swim teams don't have recruiting problems. The women add a very good sprinter to their 2027 class. https://swimswam.com/botr-sprinter-addy-gebhart-hands-verbal-commitment-to-hoosiers-for-2027/ -

Now that they're back up: Rabjohns is saying that no one has any idea which way it will go yet but it is between IU and OSU, anyone one else would be surprising. He is still planning on announcing tomorrow but there is no time set. -

You forgot to mention that he's smart.

The men get a top 10 recruit for 2027. https://swimswam.com/8-brady-campbell-gives-hoosiers-their-2nd-top-ten-verbal-for-2027/ The women also land a strong 2027 recruit. https://swimswam.com/ncsa-champion-botr-ranked-recruit-zara-kocak-commits-to-indiana-for-2027/ -

(2026) WR Lavar Keys to INDIANA

There was at least enough interest that IU got a visit on June 13th according to the 247 link. -
Using the win probabilities on ESPN, IU has a better than 50% chance (51.6%) of going undefeated this season. In 4 of the 6 games, they give IU a 94.5% or better chance of winning. The lower two are 86.2% at Maryland and 71.3% at PSU.

This is IU's highest ranking in the AP poll ever. Are those 3 1st place votes a first as well? https://apnews.com/live/top-25-college-football-poll-10-12-2025?utm_source=copy&utm_medium=share Oregon got hammered in the polls. They dropped 5 and 7 spots in the AP and coaches polls, respectively. Even though they put them at #3, that still feels like a shot at IU. Or maybe it was more of a knock against PSU.

That looks like a mistake on ESPN's part. Shocker, I know. Probably a copy/paste that didn't get edited. Here's a screenshot from the AP itself, showing they got 0 1st place votes: NCAA College Football Rankings: AP Top 25 Football Poll | AP News

IU goes 5-0 in the quad meet at USC. The women were 3-0 with a close win over USC and 2 dominant wins. Freshman Liberty Clark continues to impress. The men absolutely dominated the meet (2-0), winning almost every event and going 1-2 in multiple relays. https://swimswam.com/indiana-has-strong-performance-on-day-one-of-usc-invite/ https://swimswam.com/zalan-sarkany-sets-pool-record-with-1429-87-in-the-1650-indiana-wins-usc-invite/ -

The swim team isn't hurting for NIL. It's thought they're a big spender by someone who would have an idea. Competing for the #1 recruit in 2027. They're up against Cal (home team, historically good team who finished #2 last season) and Texas (historically good, have Bob Bowman as the coach, defending champions, lots of money) so they might not get him but don't count out IU who has landed more elite distance and mid-distance swimmers recently. https://swimswam.com/1-ranked-luka-mijatovic-done-with-ncaa-recruiting-visits-just-has-one-hard-decision-to-make/ Edit: a little more on the recruitment. https://swimswam.com/analyzing-each-of-luka-mijatovics-potential-ncaa-landing-spots/ -
I heard he will stay through at least next season since he has a new recruit who he says will help them win it all. The recruit's name is Brad Powers (no relation to Chad Powers). Interestingly, Brad Powers looks like he's in his 40s and has a strong resemblance to Tom Brady.

There are also other ways to save on streaming services. T-Mobile pays for AppleTV+ and 1/2 of my Netflix subscription. I have the Disney/Hulu/HBO bundle you mentioned (now about $33/month). I get Peacock at $20/year with the Black Friday deal they have every year, and even if you miss that there are plenty of times were I see it on sale for $25/year. I subscribe to 247 which gets me access to premium peegs.com content also saving about $3/month on Paramount+ (the main reason I subscribe). In addition, some other things include streamer subscriptions to draw in customers. I think Walmart+ offers Paramount+. Some credit cards I think might also include subscriptions to various services. I believe other other major phone companies offer subscriptions as part of some of their plans, not just T-Mobile. I have seen some articles stating that some of the streaming companies are in talks to make more bundles, so I believe you are correct in saying that there will be more of those in the future.

It could be worse, they could be on B1G+ which is more expensive while also being vastly inferior to peacock. B1G+ might be the worst deal in streaming TV.

The men land a 2027 recruit. Right now he looks like a depth piece with some versatility, but with 2 more years of development has time to really improve before stepping on campus. https://swimswam.com/indiana-lands-first-mens-2027-commitment-from-ncsa-summer-champs-finalist-jackson-edwards/
