  1. Really? I hope Alberto sees time in every remaining game this season because IU is blowing the other team out.
  2. My understanding of the situation is that since he played HS ball in the US, he isn't eligible for the 2026 draft. I guess there is always the possibility that he sues to try to get into the draft, but as of now that seems to be the situation. He's playing pro ball but doing whatever it takes to maintain NCAA eligibility from what I've seen. I'm not sure how that works.
  3. Rabby says that he's heard from European scouts that Mikka has told people he plans to play in college for a year.
  4. The profit sharing is capped at a combined $20.5M per school for all sports. There is now an NIL clearinghouse which is supposed to make sure all the NIL deals are legit and somehow determine if they're at the proper market value. So a lot of schools are being cautious with NIL promises since they don't know if they'll be approved or rejected. Plus, they can no longer just give NIL money to someone for coming to play at the school which a lot of them seemed to be, it has to be a legit deal. Some of the donors at IU also seem to think that the rev share is bigger than what it is so that they don't need to donate as much.
  5. Here's the dual meet against Florida. You can also watch if you waste money on B1G+. https://swimswam.com/2025-florida-vs-indiana-dual-meet-season-opener-live-recap/ Edit for the results: Women: Florida wins 170-130 Men: IU wins 208-92 Some of the freshmen looked good for both the men and women. The times weren't great for either team but not surprising since it's the first meet of the season and they're probably practicing very hard right now. The men won by more than I expected but Josh Liendo didn't swim any individual races for Florida.
  6. Swimswam preseason team evaluations: https://swimswam.com/2026-college-swimming-previews-freshman-class-partially-offsets-key-losses-for-3-indiana-men/ https://swimswam.com/2026-college-swimming-previews-4-indiana-women-facing-huge-losses-after-historic-2025-season/ IU opens the season with a dual meet against another power house program, Florida. https://swimswam.com/indiana-hosts-florida-in-season-opener/
  7. The peegs guys are saying that the OV went very well. Both Ethan and his parents left feeling very impressed. They say the visit solidified IU as a legit contender to land him. IU might be helped by Davion Adkins being a strong Kansas lean.
  8. On the bright side, the comments about Purdue where even more blah than those about IU so he probably won't end up there.
  9. They're inconsistent pr**ks? I really don't know. It seems like this should be an easy win for Moore.
  10. Gooooo Moore!
  11. What price are they willing to pay to avoid embarrassment? $100,000, it appears.
  12. I think Louis Moore's hearing is tomorrow unless there is another last second delay. Is it expected the judge will have a decision/ruling tomorrow or will that be sometime in the future? If it's the latter, will the restraining order be extended again? I think Moore wins this case. It would be surprising and very disappointing if he didn't but crazier things have happened.
  13. The women add a good depth swimmer for 2026. https://swimswam.com/2026-botr-recruit-emma-belk-announces-commitment-to-join-stacked-class-at-indiana/
  14. I hope they keep pursuing him. At 6'4", Branham can play the 2 so they could be on the floor together. I saw a 247 story by Dushawn London about the visits and he says that some other visits are being worked on, Indiana was one of those. Here's the story, I think it's behind a paywal. https://247sports.com/article/four-star-guard-jason-gardner-jr-sets-multiple-visits-254419505/
  15. What did they catch Kentucky doing this time?
  16. I saw on twitter that Ristic has been sighted wearing the dreaded boot on his left foot.
  17. Unless there has been a drastic change in the mindset of the university and athletic department, a work around isn't an option. We've seen that. It may or may not become an issue, hopefully it doesn't, but the staff seems to be targeting highly ranked recruits that not only will be demanding top dollars but will put IU in direct competition with schools he listed as being willing to spend more NIL. That doesn't give me warm fuzzies. We've already missed on one recruit to either KU or UL because of NIL. IU had a real chance to become a major player in college basketball when NIL was first introduced and IU was way up there in the amount they were willing to spend. Instead, we squandered those years with Woodson as the coach and now we're back to playing it safe.
  18. Rabby said something concerning: "IU doesn't have big-time money right now." He says that IU is leaning more on revenue sharing and backing off of NIL. He quickly listed 6 schools (I bet you all can guess which 6) and indicated there are more who aren't doing that which will put IU at a recruiting disadvantage against them. He says IU now has a "good" amount of money to spend, not great. I guess part of the reason is concern over the clearinghouse but that is a poor excuse to intentionally put yourself at a disadvantage. NIL Go is already looking like the CF that everyone knew it would be with inconsistent approvals and rejections. It looks like they initially rejected a bunch of deals which are now being approved. Part of the reason is donors thinking rev share is larger than it is from the sound of it.
  19. Last season there weren't many injuries but there were still more than the one you listed, especially on the OL. Kidwell had a season (ended up being career) ending injury right before the season and Evans had a season ending injury. Luckily, IU is pretty deep at RB. The Bonds injury might hurt the team more than this one.
  20. Over on peegs they've been saying for some time that it looks like it's between IU, Michigan, and OSU for Thompson. I would think that the Costello commitment takes UM out of the running. UNC has been trying hard so maybe they'll take Michigan's spot but it would be nice if it's now really between IU and OSU. Or maybe he sees himself more as a wing than a stretch 4 and UM is selling that to him. It would be great to land him, that's for sure.
  21. Indeed. One positive is that Costello turned down Painter and Purdue, though.
  22. SEC schools trying figure out how to cheat by circumventing NIL Go (what a ridiculous name that is). Who could've guessed!? "Our visits are later, which is a good thing for us so we can see the market based on the visits they're already taking," one SEC assistant said. "The biggest unknown is what our budget's going to be. We know what our rev share number is potentially going to be. But are collectives going to come back in the fold and can we get that money back? NIL Go, will there be substantial deals? Will we be able to go around NIL Go? One of the biggest things teams are working on right now is how to circumvent NIL Go, figuring out areas that NIL Go can't touch." https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/college-basketball-commitments-plummet-amid-big-changes-in-recruiting-nobody-knows-what-to-do-right-now/
