  1. I'm kind of surprised he didn't arrest both players on the spot for assault just to get them out of the game.
  2. $EC shills when IU has a close game at PSU: IU is overrated, they struggled on the road against a team that is 3-6. The B1G is terrible. SEC shills when A&M struggles at home against a 3-6 team is above. SMH, they're so pathetic.
  3. Still have to play the last 2 games. If IU somehow lost both, they'd be out for sure. If they lost 1, they'd likely be out due to tie breakers from what I've seen.
  4. That's 4 years in a row Rayford has been out for the season before it even started (including the year at Air Force)? I feel bad for the guy but at some point it's just time to hang it up. Edit: My mistake. He actually got to play 1 game last year before getting injured again.
  5. I agree with him less now than when the playoff was only 4 teams. The playoffs now consist of 12 of 127 teams, just a bit under 10%. For schools to really be in the mix to make the playoffs, they just have to be top 15 or so. Places like PSU, LSU, and Florida expect to be top 15 every year. Those 3 schools I think wanted a change anyways. PSU made the playoffs last year but Franklin has a history of just not getting it done in big games. He'd been there for quite a while and it looked like they had peaked and were on the way back down or at best had plateaued. I don't think most of the schools in D1 have that mentality. Before Cignetti, IU and its fans would have been happy just making bowl games more years than not.
  6. The $EC and its sports writers are all so arrogant. https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/2025/11/goodman-we-found-the-biggest-fraud-in-college-football.html
  7. Boogie Fland is someone Mike Woodson wanted badly. Enough said.
  8. My take on LSU screwing themselves:
  9. You were so excited that you posted it 4 times. :) Wikipedia hasn't been updated since the season began. At that time, it had IU with 715 losses and Northwestern with 712. Northwestern has 4 losses this season, which would put them at 716. From Wikipedia: "The following data is current through week 0 of the 2025 season, " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Division_I_FBS_football_win–loss_records Also, it's possible for Wikipedia to be wrong.
  10. It's appropriate that Miller looks confused and a bit panicked while Woodson looks disinterested.
  11. lol, ESPN's win probability tracker is broken. It has the scores backwards, so the farther behind Marquette gets the higher it says their chance at winning is.
  12. Don't forget that athletic departments are "non-profit," which means they don't have a bunch of money saved from profitable years. They have to spend what they bring in. That's why years with decreased revenue, like during COVID, can really, really hurt them. Up front money allows them make quick, expensive purchases without having to go through the trouble of getting donor money or loans from their schools. Most of the money would probably be squandered, since athlete departments (and the schools themselves) aren't really incentivized to spend money well or run efficiently.
  13. I agree. In the last 2 years, he averaged 2.7 and 2.0 assists per game. This year he has 7 assists through 2 games (3.5/game). He is a willing passer. I think he had bad coaching on bad teams with a poor offensive philosophy. That said, I wasn't and I'm still not sad that he's gone after 3 years of Woodson "coaching."

  16. Indeed it is. My point is that while the players he brought in (from JMU and other places) weren't highly ranked out of HS or even in the portal, they do actually have talent. Ponds, Fisher, and Kamara are all All-American players, for example. So even though they weren't ranked highly out of HS and went to JMU, they're obviously quite talented. So he hasn't gone 21-2 during his time at IU without talent, he's done it with talent that flew under the radar. Winning with less 4 and 5 star players? Definitely. Wining with less actual talent? The gap isn't as large as it would appear when looking at player rankings and it's even smaller this year than last. And, yes, he's a better coach in every aspect than either Woodson or Fickell could ever hope to be.
  17. I guess it depends on what you mean by "more with less" as far as Cignetti is concerned. As far as ratings out of HS and even the transfer portal are concerned? Absolutely. As far as actual talent? Not really, this team has multiple All American players and NFL prospects on it, probably the most of any IU time in a long time, maybe ever. Cignetti and the staff seem to be very good at evaluating and developing the players, as well as using them in ways that takes advantages of their strengths while masking their weaknesses.
  18. @Hovadipo reading this thread:
  19. Yeah, it's a real shame.
  20. Yes, at the 2:51 mark then didn't score again. Hence almost 3 minutes without scoring. The post was a joke, btw.
  21. The walk-ons didn't score in almost 3 minutes at the end of the game. We're doomed. The CDD experiment is a failure, it was fun while it lasted.
  22. Notre Dame in position to get in the playoffs despite 2 losses and a weak schedule simply because they're Notre Dame? Who would've thought it? Oh, right, I did. I'll go ahead and give myself a pat on the shoulder.
  23. He probably has the bundle which includes ESPN.
  24. I would disagree. That was a team with some veterans, including TJD who is an NBA player and statistically one of the best players in IU history. They added some talented freshmen, including lottery pick JHS. In other words, overall a veteran team with 2 NBA players. 8 of their 12 losses came by 11+ points. Instead of looking at it as an overachievement, it looks pretty much like the opposite to me. They also started the year at 48 in KenPom and finished at 50. Not as big of a drop as other Woodson teams, but a drop nonetheless. Preseason 13th in the AP poll and 14th in the AP poll, peaking at 10 and 8, respectively. So, at best, it could be viewed as meeting expectations, in my opinion, although I think they underachieved.
