Yep, The tourney reinforces we need to somehow/hopefully find a 2G that is a tough defender AND is an offensive threat from the perimeter and taking it to the rim. Seem to see those guys nearly every game in the tourney but our decade or so search continues.

In regards to the SG: Seeing how Sencire Harris responded, with 4 laughing emoji’s, to a DD interview regarding why he chose to move to IU, I believe there is a very small probability he will follow his coach to IU.

Well, if we land him he will be playing his 6th season and in 4 different conferences..LOL It looks that he only played 10 games his freshman season so I assume there is a medical redshirt involved. Have not watched him play but we could do worse than a 24 year old (in May) 6’11” 265 dude that nearly averaged a double, double at Syracuse. The caveat is, of course, does he play a style that fits DD’s vision?

On tv they did say Golden would be the youngest coach to win it all but the correct answer is….Branch McCracken at 31.

Yep, , they have commitments from 4 of the top 24 players in the country for next season.

He was beat as early as 10 minutes to go in the game which coincided with their downfall. And Proctor…down the stretch he dribbled the ball off his leg and out of bounds and misses the front end of a one and one…..oof

I asked for your wishlist of available guards and not “I wish we would have landed x,y,z” and the first three guys you named have already committed and 4th isn’t in the portal…LOL So hopefully we land one of the two “maybe” guys (Rice or Thomas) ? I strongly agree with the need to get some good perimeter dudes but don’t really see a “flawless” solution.

You could see them wearing him down a bit and his legs weren’t the same at the end of the game.

Houston wore them down. A loss is never due to one play but Proctor missing the front end of the one and one was a killer.

Which available guard, “not a I wish we would have landed x,y,z” would you like us to land? Just curious which guard would check the boxes.

If we land Pack (83% career FT shooter) does that make the “Enright can’t be trusted to shoot free throws at the end of a game” discussions a moot point ?

If we would have landed Flagg this year I am 100% confident that he would have been the best “stand in the corner while the big guy works” player we have ever had.

His twin stayed in HS and is going to play for the University of Maine next year. I’d advise him to take finance and sports management classes with the goal of becoming his brothers agent…:)

And he was still 17 when the season started and should have been a high school senior this year as he only spent 3 years in HS !!!!!!!

I’m stating the obvious but tourney game after game after game proves the need for a three level dawg guard. For the 10th or so year in a row that’s something we desperately need.

Off topic but I just saw a NBA draft projection and four of the top 25 picks (1,7,12,25) consist of the Montverde crew. Has any high school (I realize it’s not a “typical” HS) ever had 4 first rounders in one class? And to think we thought we had a shot at Queen (12th) and McNeely (25th).

5/6 of Florida’s top rotation guys are portal dudes. ALL 5 transferred from non-power schools. A couple of years ago who had that on their bingo card as a way to get to the Final game ???

It’s depressing when I watch some games that make me realize our recent teams were not even remotely close to being remotely close to being great. Just an eye opening difference.

There are rumors that MM is going to Kentucky. A comment by a concerned UK fan made me chuckle as he correctly said that when MM is on the floor he “flat tires” the offense. A more positive UK fan described MM as having elite athleticism which made me LOL. EDIT: I just read that after his UK visit MM is not going to UK. Not sure if it was a MM or UK decision. A number of UK fans had him slated as their backup PF. If the staff thought the same thing I’m sure that’s something MM’s NBA ears did not want to hear.

It’s really refreshing/fun to see how other schools play basketball. I realize the motivation of being in a FF game but man these dudes get after it every play.

Pack only played 9 games and none of them were past early/mid December. Goode played the end of season games (ie not season ending injury) during the year he is petitioning. Im no expert, or even close, but it would seem as though Pack has a better chance of winning his case which, like Goode, has not yet been decided.

In that case this recruitment/signing was very quick. Shows how quickly things can change.

Yep, I had never heard of RB until I opened the Tony Adranga spreadsheet that someone posted today. Tony had RB listed. Of the listed players two of them, RB and Nigel Pack had green backgrounds over their names which I am guessing means high mutual interest. If the Pack thing turns out to be real it will be nice that the Boilers will finally get to see him play in person. LOL

Wolf was one of my favorite players to watch this year. A really unique talent.
