I agree but next year we get OSU and USC at home and PSU/UM the following year.

I’m good with where we are rated. I think Texas, who is just in front of us, is overrated but aside from them being in front of us I don’t see much “why in the hell are they ranked that high”. Pleasantly surprised we are above TT as their win at Utah was also quite impressive. The important thing is that we are ranked in “Playoff territory” and everything will play out just fine as long as our future results are positive. Really need to take care of Iowa.

One of the funniest/saddest clips of the day was Arch Manning scoring on a 5 yard run and then leaning down and taunting a Sam Houston State player that was on the ground. LOL The $6,000,000 pre-season Heisman favorite taking it to friggin Sam Houston State. What an accomplishment! HA !

Watched SECPN College Football Final fully expecting them to somewhat dismiss IU’s win as a victory over an overrated Illinois team. I was wrong. Much to my surprise they were very complimentary including Joey Galloway who didn’t believe in IU pretty much all last year. No mention of the schedule etc but rather just listed positives including saying we could likely be better than last year. Very nice/surprising to hear. Iowa is the next “must-win game” (LOL) in order to keep positive momentum and narrative. We are in great shape if we beat Iowa and then beat, or are very competitive against, Oregon.

Two interesting sets of numbers: UCF 27 - UNC 3 in the third quarter $30,000,000 - Belichiks payout if fired.

He will get a 7 figure buyout to add to his 8 figure buyout.

UCF beating UNC 20-3 at the half…LOL SEC Arkansas loses to Memphis Clemsons season is effectively over after losing to 17.5 point underdog Syracuse. Some good things happening today.

Can’t wait to see the buzz at the rock, how we compete in the trenches and Mendoza’s performance against quality competition!! Counting down the hours!!! Kind of funny/interesting that this is one of the biggest football games in IU history and we have 2 1/2 pages of pre-game posts vs 5 pages for the IU basketball schedule…

They do play the games when they are told to. I have traveled the three time zones a gazillion times and it does have some impact. Why give a home team an additional advantage? And yes, I understand that in reality the only three things that matter are money, money and money.

It’s bad/challenging enough that the Big Ten “student”-athletes have to travel coast to coast but I wish the BT had the gonads to have a little control over the tv times. MSU is traveling to the west coast and has an 8:00 pm kickoff which is 11:00 pm their time. West coast teams have traveled east and had noon kickoffs which is an equally BS kickoff of 9:00 am their time. Yo. Big Ten. It’s not that hard. When a team from the east travels west the kickoff’s should be between noon and 5:00 (3-8:00 EST). When west coast teams travel east the kickoffs should be between 3:00 and 8:00 (12:00-5:00 PST). It’s not that difficult. Michigan State, as an example, should not be playing this weeks game until 2:00 am EST.
