  1. Will the real Hoosiers please stand up  102   Hooters        60
  2. I'm not enamored with JBJ's overall play especially on defense, but yesterday he was our second leading rebounder with 8 total boards of which 3 were offensive rebounds.  And, he only turned it over twice vs. Yogi's 4 and Troy's 5.
  3. Now remember, you asked for it.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIMgEEASoWQ
  4. And the more controversial comments and issues he raises, the more people talk about him and tune in to hear him.   Sex sells; that's why the tabloids fill the rack at your local supermarket check-out.
  5. Las Vegas Bowl.  Utah over BYU 35 - 0 and it's only the end of the 1st quarter.
  6. Absolutely agree.  You want the team to win and be successful but at the same time, wins like this just put another '+' in the retain CTC column.  Had they not put it together in the last minutes and pulled out a win, the clamor for CTC's head would have become even more deafening given how poorly they played for the biggest majority of the game.
  7. Somehow, this team put it together at crunch time and stole what looked like a sure ND victory.  The unpredictability of this team is maddening, frustrating and a whole bunch of other words you can add.  Still shakin' my head.
  8. Whose job was it to feed the hamster this morning?
  9. 12/18 Marion lost to Kokomo 86 - 79.  Blacksmon with 30 pts. on 10 of 20 from the floor; 5 of 12 from 3-pt. land; 5 reb.; 5 assists; 1 TO.   Through 6 games he's averaging 21 pts.; 4 assists; 6 rebs.; 1 steal.
  10. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Stevens as our next coach.  But what if he still has a strong emotional attachment to Butler for what he accomplished while its coach and just isn't comfortable coming back to Indiana to compete against Butler for the headlines and the in-state recruits.  Just a thought; nothing more.
  11. McCutcheon defeated Lafayette Harrison 84 - 56.  Phinisee with 24 pts. on 9 of 14 from the field; 5 assists; 2 blks.
  12. Crown Point defeated Munster 53 - 38.  Gelon scored 17.  He shot 6-for-11, including 5-for-8 from 3-point range.
  13. As big of an event as the Tarkanian Classic is, you'd think someone would provide some individual game stats or, if they have, I just haven't been able to find them.
  14. Now official 73 - 51 for Incarnate Word.    Just think, MSB could have played in this game.
  15. Just announced he's de-committing.
  16. Rutgers freshman center Ibrahima Diallo suffered a fractured right foot in practice yesterday and is out indefinitely.
  17. De'Ron's high school team is participating in the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas.  A huge event stretched over several days.  They won their first game and this is all I've found thus far:  Overland (Aurora, Col.) 62, Poly (Long Beach) 43 Senior Jervae Robinson, a 6-foot-1 combo guard drawing D1 interest, scored 19 points in the win over injury-depleted Poly. The Jackrabbits also had trouble slowing down Indiana-bound power forward Deron Davis, who finished with 10 points.  They played again today and defeated Dillard H.S. from Ft. Lauderdale 49 - 45.  Can't find any detailed box scores.   Overland play again on Saturday.  Finals are held on Monday the 21st.   http://www.tarkanianclassic.com/2015home.html
  18. Just consider the source.  It's a football school.
  19. ESPN posted a mid-season transfer list of 45 names with expectations more are coming.     http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/14390188/midseason-transfer-list
  20. Ohio St. freshman Austin Grandstaff a Top 50 recruit out of Texas is leaving the program.  Averaging 11.5 min./game and 4.4 pts./game.  Coming out of high school, he was recruited by Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan and Oregon.   Iowa St. senior guard Naz Mitrou-Long out for the season.  Had hip surgery on both hips last spring and hasn't been able to regain his form.  Struggling on the court this season.  Intends to seek a medical redshirt.  Has played in 8 games this season averaging 32 min. of playing time.  I don't know what the NCAA rules are with respect to getting a medical redshirt.
  21. What possible reason(s) could Cuban have?  He's an excellent bottom line results oriented man, nearly the complete opposite of what we see in CTC.
  22. I'll ask for all of your collective forgiveness in advance for invoking PUke, but in many respects, Bo always reminded me of Gene Keady.  For most of his years Keady rarely signed the big names but for the most part year in and year out he put competitive teams on the court.  They may not have hung any banners in the pig sty, but for the most part were always competitive.  Gene got a few 'stars', but that's not how he built his program and neither did Bo.  I think Bo and Gene both were exceptionally good at recruiting players that fit their style, were fundamentally sound and were willing to play hardnosed team basketball.
  23. Hopefully the latter and not due to any health issues in his family.
  24. Monmouth's next game is against Rutgers, our first B1G opponent.  Might be an interesting measuring stick.
