  1. Joe Philon, a four-star prospect in the class of 2026, has committed to UCLA,
  2. Chase is a state champion. After taking care of perennial power Vashon yesterday, Logan-Rogersville took Clayton to the woodshed with a 72-36 pounding. Hopefully some game stats will surface.
  3. Pleasant surprise that our Hoosiers took game 2 of the weekend series 7-2 and will look for a sweep tomorrow at 1:00. Neubeck started and pitched 6 innings giving up 6 hits, 2 BB and charged with 2 MN runs. Vogel and Yarberry closed it out. We scored 5 in the 5th. Ricketts and Decker hit solo HR and Hanley hit a 3-run HR. We had 9 hits total with Landen Fry the only Hoosier to log more than a single hit.
  4. Hoosiers take game 2 of the series 10-2 in a run-shortened game. Kinda odd in that we scored 10 runs and only had 6 hits. But Alex Cooper had a grand slam, Madalyn Strader a solo shot and Avery Parker a 2-RBI triple. Ella Troutt started and pitched 4 scoreless innings but got in trouble in the 5th and Aubree Hooks came on and closed it out. Collectively they only allowed 5 hits and 1 BB. Go for the series sweep tomorrow at noon.
  5. Lot of internet chatter that Hubert Davis is out at UNC. Reportedly some big $ boosters have said they've lost faith.

  7. Jamie Shaw hyping this young man - D2 fans already know. The D1 world is about to catch on. Antonio Pusateri just hit the Transfer Portal: 16.9 PPG, 11.2 RPG, 22 double-doubles. 30+ D1 programs circling as he sets up calls and visits. https://lcuchaps.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/antonio-pusateri/4928 According to the Lubbock Christian website, he never attempted a single 3 and was a pretty sad 43% FT shooter. Listed at 6'7".

  10. This Vashon team wasn't exactly chopped liver. They won the last 6 state titles and this was Vashon's first loss in the final four since 1999. Vashon was 20-0 with 10 championships when making the final four since 2000.
  11. The IU women are pretty good. They spotted Maryland 4 runs and trailed 4-0 after 4 complete. Scored 4 of our own in the 5th to tie it up. Both teams scored a run in the 6th and then we added 3 in our 7th to win the series opener 8-5. In the 7th, Alex Cooper had a solo HR and Madalyn Strader had a 2-run shot. Hess started and was relieved in the 4th by Mannon who finished the game. They limited the Terps to 6 hits and walked just 2 batters. We only had 7 hits of our own but 3 went the distance. In the 5th, Alli Gavin had a 2-run shot. Saturday's game scheduled to start at 2:00.
