  1. Probably too much to hope for, but man would this kid look great playing regularly in SSAH. Last night Sunnyslope (20-1) defeated Desert Vista (8-10) 62-58 but Desert Vista didn't at all play like a team with a losing record. Sunnyslope led most of the night but never by more than 10 pts. Wabbington with a nifty 19p and 11r double-double to go along with 2a, 1s, 2b, 0t. He also drew a total of 10 fouls. IMO he's very mobile and has good hands. No one ripped the ball away from him once he had his hands on it. Can put the ball on the floor going coast-to-coast twice.
  2. Later in that game above, she made another one from damn near the exact same spot. Coeur d'Alene (19-2) defeated Lakeland (15-4) 75-64 in a pretty enjoyable game to watch. CdA led by 21 with 5 min. left but Lakeland made a furious rally. Colvin finished with 32 pts. that included hitting 6-10 on 3s. She was also 10-11 FTs., and added 5r, 7a, 4s, 0b, 1t and played all but the last 30 seconds. She took a hard body check and left the game after making 2 FTs, indicating it was her left knee. No idea how serious it may or may not be. Another interesting fact in this game is that of her 7 assists, 6 of them resulted in made 3s mostly when she drove to the rim and kicked the ball out to an open teammate. She also drew 8 fouls in the game.
  3. No idea what DeVries will do, but he did pull Bailey from the starter's role in favor of Alexis so he is willing to make a lineup change.
  4. I've commented on the length of her 3-point shots. This one might be a touch longer than her norm but not by that much and it swished the net.
  5. I do believe Trilly is implying we're getting a commitment today. Wonder who it could be????? lol
  6. In one of our IUWBB targets threads I pointed out the huge scoring margins in many of the girls games. Yesterday there was a game with a half time score of 54-17. Another 55-4 (not a typo). Yet another 45-7 (also not a typo). Thankfully, 2 of the games opened the 3rd Q with running clocks. The 45-7 game was in Alabama and they don't start a running clock until the 4th Q at which time the score was 64-16! [I'm positive the Alabama refs started their own 3rd Q running clock by not calling anything except the most blatant fouls.] Old Fart's Pet Peeve's 1. Every state needs a mercy rule and it needs to start in the 3rd Q. 2. Every state needs a shot clock. 3. 3-person officiating crew. One official repeatedly makes the inbounder move to a very precise spot. Another official in the same crew is okay as long as the inbounder is in the same zip code. 4. Play-by-play announcer: OMG we have a violent collision on the court with 2 players down. Looks like a broken ankle for one and a dislocated elbow plus a bleeding head wound for the other. The official on the court: Number 21, I told you to tuck that shirt tail in.
  7. Christ School does have a YouTube channel but don't know it will be used for Manhertz' announcement. https://www.youtube.com/christschoolvideo

  9. If you want to see it again, BTN running an hour highlight show of the natty game tonight at 8:00. Something positive and uplifting to watch before the 9:00 PUke game.
  10. I was going to wait until tomorrow afternoon but to hell with it. @Stuhoo I hope your realize you can't spell 'gloat' without G.O.A.T.
  11. It's certainly good news, but please don't expect Karvala and Manhertz to jump right in and log 30 min/game. Their bodies simply aren't ready for that. Of the 3, Moody will be the most B1G physically ready.
  12. Word on 247 is they plan to honor the UNDEFEATED AND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IU FOOTBALL TEAM prior to the start of the game. For those who will be there make sure your butt is in your seat probably 15 min. before tipoff. For those dealing with Peacock probably won't see a thing but you never know.
  13. Since it sounds pretty likely we're going to land him, there's a number of Christ School games available on Sports Engine if you haven't watched him play. You do have to sign up with SE, but it is a free site. https://sportsengineplay.com/Local-Live/Christ-School-321943/Christ-School-Boys-Varsity-Basketball?viewType=list He wears #0.
  14. This past Saturday a 73-55 win over Veritas Acad. 15p, 5r, 0a, 1s, 1b, 4t. 3 of the 5 reb. were offensive boards. 3 of the 4 turnovers were careless dribbling
  15. Mentioned the scrum in the above post and this from the Redlands Daily Facts - Sydney Douglas remains sidelined with a finger injury suffered earlier in the week. X-rays revealed a compound fracture to the pinky finger of her non-shooting (left) hand. “She’s going to see a specialist,” Huskies coach Matt Tumambing said. “We’ll see whether or not she’s going to need to have surgery.”
  16. Jason Gardner Jr. will be at tonight's game but I'm paranoid enough to worry that although he's there at our invitation, he's really more interested in watching PUke. I remember all the IU games 'Kory Flibunga' attended and we never could get an OV from him.
  17. My feeble attempt at humor failed. I was referring specifically to the managers game wishfully hoping we could at least a half point since I have no hope we'll win either of the men's games and possibly the women's as well and we'll need all the help we can find to maintain our Cup winning streak. And your understanding is correct on how points are won.
