  1. In their final game at the Jordan Holiday Classic, McNamara defeated St. Xavier (KY) 58-55 but they did nearly their best to give the game away. A series of 4th Q mental lapses and careless mistakes coupled with St. X press had the game tied with 7 sec. left. Moody got the inbounds pass, drove the length and was fouled at the rim with 1.3 left. He missed the first but made the second. On the St. X inbounds, the player launched an overhand throw that had too much arc and hit a roof support so McNamara gets the ball back and Moody throws up a shot at the buzzer that went in for the 3-point win. The coach should make their big center #10 walk back to Maryland. Twice in the 4th Q he felt possessed to run to the 3-point line and foul the shooter. Bad enough to do it today when the team was on the ropes, but he did it twice in yesterday's game against Link Academy.
  2. Dynamic Prep trailed most of the game but took the lead with 2:20 left and never looked back. 69-59 win over Montverde Academy. Turning point was when MVA's Joe Philon fouled out. For the game I had Spears with 9p, 8r, 2a, 3s, 5b, 4t. His 11-game season averages from MaxPreps: 15.5p, 7.6r, 2.5a, .9s, 2.5b. 64% FG, 40% on 3s (2-5), 72% FT. He's really slender and got pushed around inside and his screens left a little to be desired. Couple of his turnovers in this game were where the ball was simply taken out of his hands.
  3. Joe Tipton has had to eat a little crow with his latest tweet. Florida, Michigan, Clemson, Indiana, and Texas Tech are not expected to be in the mix for Trentyn Flowers, sources told @On3sports.
  4. Per 247, we have zero interest in Flowers regardless of Joe Tipton throwing our name in that pool.
  5. In the Jordan Holiday Classic, Bish. McNamara was beaten 72-50 by Link Academy. McNamara was without its leading scorer and arguably best player Qayden Samuels out with an injury. Link was the more athletic team and McNamara's bigs were woefully inadequate against Link's bigs. Moody finished with 19p, 5r, 2a, 0s, 0b, 4t. They play again tomorrow at 3:15 against St. Xavier (KY) which features IU offer Josh Lindsay.
  6. Seth Tow - A little #iuwbb news to go with this story: Australian forward Zoe Jackson, a class of 2026 commit IU already said is joining the team in January, is already in the U.S. and will be on the bench Monday vs Minnesota, per a program spokesperson. She will not dress.
  7. Last game of 2025 brings the Gophers (9-3) to Bloomington. Another important visitor Monday night is IU target '27 Finley Parker from River Ridge HS in Woodstock, GA. It's hinted that a late winter/early spring commitment decision is possible. The Gophers average 79 ppg with a +28 scoring margin. They average 43 rpg with a +10 margin. They protect the ball with just 10 TOs/gm. Our comparable per game stats are 75 / 34 / 14 so unless we bring our A+ game, it might be a long night for the IU women. It's a short turnaround for the women as they host Michigan State on Thursday, New Year's Day at noon and 3 days after that on Jan. 4, they play at Maryland. Radio Live Stats
  8. Sydney tweeted this was her first game with @Cen10gbb which I've learned is Centennial HS in Corona, CA so apparently she's transferred from Ontario Christian HS. Not a bad first game.
  9. Branham's team (6-0) defeated Lebanon (3-4) 67-36 as Logan Rogersville forced 25 Lebanon TOs. I had Branham playing 23 min. with 26p, 4r, 5a, 5s, 0b, 0t 6-9 FG, 4-7 on 3s, 2-3 FT. The play by play guy said Branham had only 24p. Seriously folks, who you gonna believe? The quality of the stream was very good but it took a little getting used to. They had a camera on both sides of the gym floor and they'd switch cameras depending upon which team had the ball. As a result, it gave you the illusion that both team were using the same basket! Branham plays a quarterfinal game Sunday afternoon at 5:00 CT.
  10. Brandon Clay Scouting tweeted Finley will be in Bloomington tomorrow and Colsten Thompson re-tweeted. Plans are she'll stay in Bloomington for IUWBB vs Minnesota Monday night.
  11. Branham in the Blue & Gold Tournament now on
  12. Bishop McNamara vs Link Academy (Davion Thompson) 5:15 today. Supposdly to stream at: https://www.youtube.com/@NBA/streams?app=desktop
  13. 2027 PG @brookeslee_11 lit up the Nike TOC stage earning Most Outstanding Player honors & continuing to show why she is one of the nation’s best 2-way players & efficient scorers with 4 game averages of: 33.8pts., 9.5reb, 6stl, 3.5ast, 93.8%FT, 52.5%FG, 45.5%3FG
  14. Prayer delivered @OliviaPope40.
  15. The one and only piece of statistics I've found for him this season
  16. DME Academy Girls BasketballDMEACADEMYGBB GiGi Battle had a very efficient 1st semester!!! 15 PPG on 47% 2pt, 39% from 3pt and 76% from the line!!! Over 5 rebounds a game and has a 2:1 Assist to TO Ratio! The @IUHoosiers Signee has proven to be one of the best in country! An absolute warrior!
  17. Totally overlooked this particular offer as I believe he's the only IU offer playing in Overtime Elite for the City Reapers team. For 11 games he's averaging: 18.9p, 8.3r, 2.6a, .5s, .6b, 2.1t 42.9% FG, 20.5% on 3s, 71.1% FT 29 min./gm

  19. That was a heckuva Christmas present and we didn't even realize it.
  20. Triple double in a win over Jackson-Reed. 10p, 11r, 11a
  21. Gardner out with a broken hand didn't stop Fishers from beating Park Heritage 60-38. 19 points and 9 rebounds for Kai McGrew. 12 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals all in the second half for Cooper Zachary
  22. First game I've watched Ella Watts. Listed at 6'1" but very skilled. Runs the floor very well, sets solid screens and handled the ball with both hands oftentimes she was the one bringing the ball up the court. Tonight's game was a total romp with Bob Jones winning 76-43 and upping its season record to 12-4. Ella finished with 26p, 7r, 1a, 3s, 2t. She shot 10-20 FG, 5-11 on 3s, 1-2 FT. Her season averages are 16p, 8r, 2a, 2s, 1b, 3t
