Sources say head coach Greg Gard has grown increasingly vocal behind the scenes regarding resource disparities, particularly as rival Big Ten Conference programs aggressively invest in NIL and roster-building infrastructure. My heart is aching (not) for the poor Badgers.

Just have to be certain we don't go over 13 scholarship players or there is a financial penalty as @Uspshoosier has explained previously.

Cole Cloer (NC State) transfers to Bama.

George Washington transfer Trey Autry has committed to Wisconsin. The 6’4” junior guard started all 34 games played for the Revolutionaries, averaging 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

Drake senior Isaiah Carr has entered the transfer portal. The 6’11” forward appeared in 32 games, averaging 3.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.

Rabyspeak is in part being driven by the fact that this staff doesn't leak information. Andershock admitted the other day that Samet was a hint he picked up just very shortly before the announcement and Lindsay was a total surprise to both Trevor and Raby.

Northwestern guard KJ Windham has committed to James Madison.

Indiana's Miss Basketball 5'11" Gracyn Gilliard of Center Grove announced she's decommitted from Davidson. I don't show in my notes that we ever actively pursued her but could be a different attitude/approach now.

From the Iowa State website: 2024-25 Appeared in Iowa State’s first 10 games of the season and made eight starts before announcing plans to medically redshirt on Dec. 11 due to a preexisting hip injury… averaged 8.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game… knocked down 17 3-pointers and was 14-of-17 (.824) from the free throw line… made three triples in three-straight contests against UNI (Nov. 20), Drake (Nov. 24) and South Carolina (Nov. 28), finishing each game in double figures.

After Raby's comment about "heart of the roster" he shortly after made more comments -post depth still under consideration and want to still add a player -they still plan to fill out the roster. It's Rabyspeak but I'm interpreting it that we'll still look for players but they will clearly be of the end of the bench variety.

The 2-years of eligibility is definitely a plus but realistically in today's environment, what % can we truly expect to stick around for their second year? 1 or 2 simply won't produce; 1 or 2 will simply chase $$.

Gonzaga transfer Steele Venters has committed to Washington. The 6’7” grad wing appeared in 27 games, averaging 5.0 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game. Venters shot 36.7% from 3, hitting 36/98 shots on the year.
