  1. Dushawn London with another paywalled story on an IUWBB target. Along with IU, other schools mentioned are Miami, GA Tech and Ruger. She's been on campus with her team and "I really like Coach Teri." She's ranked in the top 50 by the 3 major services. Another target that I'm unable to find sources for how her season is going. MaxPreps reports their record as 10-3 but no individual player stats are posted and none of her games are streamed on NFHS. Prior to this season, she attended Middletown HS in Middletown, NY but transferred to St. James Performance Academy in Springfield, VA for the current season. At Middletown, McCalla started playing on the varsity as a 7th Grader, and eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark as a freshman.

  3. Paywalled recruiting update from Dushawn London indicates we're still in the hunt. She's quoted as commenting on our consistency in calling and texting her. Other schools mentioned: Duke, UNC, ND, MD and TCU. Hopes to make a decision around September. She's ranked in the top 15 by the 3 major services. Unfortunately, she's among the group of IUWBB offers that I simply can't find any sources for how her season at Friends Central is going. MaxPreps reports their season record at 15-3 but individual stats are not posted. And, none of her games have been streamed on NFHS. She played her freshman year at William Penn Charter and transferred to Archbishop Wood for her sophomore year. This is from a June '25 article: "... she dominated Philadelphia Catholic League matchups, averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists in league games, leading the Vikings to a 10-1 record. For the season, she led the team in scoring, contributing 18 points per game, along with 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 steals. To put those stats in perspective, Carter was often on the bench by the fourth, or even third, quarter of the Vikings’ numerous blowout wins." She was named the PA Sportswriters All-State Class 5A Player of the Year. She subsequently transferred to Friends Central HS in Wynnewood, PA for the current season. 247 On3
  4. I read that such a movement had started and it came to fruition. Bloomington Renames Park Pond After Hoosiers' D’Angelo Ponds Pick-Six Fans kicked off the idea after Indiana's 56-22 Peach Bowl rout of Oregon on Jan. 9, where Ponds' pick-six—the fastest score in bowl history at 11 seconds—sparked the Hoosiers' dominant win and sent them to the Jan. 19 national championship against Miami. The city embraced the punny tribute at Miller-Showers Park, calling the stormwater pond a symbol of containment like Ponds locking down receivers. Bloomington's rallying behind the undefeated Hoosiers with this fun nod as title week approaches.
  5. Everybody knows we're cheating so we might as well score on the first possession of the game.
  6. On3 reports Sales will be back in Bloomington the weekend of the 24th,
  7. An event in Paducah, KY this past weekend.
  8. Byron Baldwin and Rodney White are close friends who are there or committed, who speak highly of the Hoosiers. I trust them.
  9. 10. It is the highest compliment for any coach to have his name mentioned for open high profile college jobs let alone open positions in the pro ranks. We are so damn lucky that he's our coach.
  11. Adewale Ogunleye @aotheprince93 For all Indiana Alum traveling to FL for the National Championship, join me Sun 1/18 from 1pm @ DAER Club in the Hard Rock Hotel for an IU party. Admission is free! Come connect, network, and catch up with your IU fam. 1 more to go
  12. Just a quick reminder. Jan. 11, was an NCAA designated Quiet Period meaning in-person contact could only be made on campus. Jan. 12-14, is an NCAA Dead Period meaning any and all in-person contact is verboten including UV's and OV's Jan. 15-31, no holds barred. Feb 1, is a Quiet Period. Feb. 2 - Mar. 1, is a Dead Period.
  13. Davis was offered by Woody and I've never seen anything that suggested DDV re-offered yet whenever Davis' name is mentioned, we appear listed among his offers. Question asked yesterday on 247 and the response was he was not an IU target.
  14. Kentucky guard Jaland Lowe will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, Mark Pope has announced.
  15. Hard to find any kind of regular info but did watch 2 recent games both of which were total routs with running clocks starting with the opening of the 3rd Q. First was a 93-18 win over Fordson where Savoury had 26p, 1r, 1a, 7s, 0b, 0t in 19 min. 10-12 FG, 3-5 on 3s, 3-3 FT. Second game an 80-20 win over Franklin. 17p, 3r, 8a, 5s, 1b, 0t in 13 min. 7-13 FG, 1-5 on 3s, 2-2 FT. Despite the level of the competition, Savoury is clearly a very good ballplayer. Very quick hands and doesn't take bad shots. Several more games will be streamed over the next month so maybe get a better idea of what she can do when facing better competition.

  17. IUWBB winless in conference and on a 5-game losing streak. Oy! Washington (12-4) (2-3) is on its own 2-game losing streak so................ Huskies average 73 ppg with a +16 margin shooting 44% FG and 37% on 3s. Strong rebounding team (ouch) averaging 41/gm with a +10 margin. Sayvia Sellers is their leading scorer at 18.6 followed by Avery Howell at 13.5 and Elle Ladine at 10.6. 3 players with any volume average 39% or better or 3s led by Howell at 44%. Howell also their leading rebounder at 7.7/gm. IU women played hard against Nebraska and Iowa but came up short. Washington is a winnable game for us but can we? Live Stats Radio
