  1. Central Connecticut guard Jay Rodgers has committed to Penn State. Rodgers averaged 11 points and 6.9 assists this season.
  2. Don't want to clutter the portal thread but several posts talking about the late Prince reminded me of this. If you've never seen it, wait for the end and a pretty incredible solo.
  3. Mississippi State transfer Jaylah Lampley has committed to Rutgers, she tells @247SportsPortal. Lampley averaged 8.3 points and 4.7 rebounds this season

Named Honorable Mention on Max Preps Freshman All-American team Drew Cabana, Chelsea (Mich.) 6-5 | Guard Piled up 21.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game to guide the Bulldogs to the Division 2 state quarterfinals. Karson Stoudemire, New Albany (Ind.) 6-3 | Guard Pumped in 12.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists to help the Bulldogs (23-6) to the Class 4A state semifinals.
  5. Mason Grivna also named to Max Preps Freshman All-American Second Team Mason Grivna, Ballard (Louisville, Ky.) 6-11 | Center Produced 16.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game while shooting 69 percent from the field to help Ballard (23-7) advance to the 7th Region championship game.

  7. Dead period ended April 9, so this was a big weekend for campus visits/direct contact so this coming week should be a big one for commitment announcements.

  9. San Francisco transfer guard Tyrone Riley IV has committed to Oregon, he told @On3. The 6-6 sophomore averaged 12.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this season, shooting nearly 37% from three.

  11. Don't find his name in my records but that doesn't mean he didn't visit. My recollection is that PUke was on him hard and thought they had him and then he changed his mind. But hey, I'm old and I can't remember much of anything.
  12. Maryland broke out its own heavy lumber today pounding out 14 hits and winning 14-4 in a run-shortened game. Rivera started and made it through the 1st but couldn't get an out in the 2nd giving up a total of 5 hits, 3 BB, 1 HBP and charged with 6 Maryland runs. Mastalski came on and pitched into the 4th allowing another 2 Terp runs to score before Jacobi came on and ended the inning. But the beating didn't stop. Jacobi, Linn and Gubitosi gave up 7 more hits and 5 more Maryland runs. Meanwhile we managed just 6 hits on the day. Tomorrow's game set for noon and televised on basic BTN.

Women assure themselves of winning the weekend series with a 5-1 win today and in the process scored a full point in the Governor's Cup competition which we now lead 9.5 to 5.5 with 5 competitions remaining. Hooks and Hess combined to limit PUke to 3 hits and walked 3. We had 12 hits in the game not a one for extra bases. Strader had 3 hits and 3 others with 2 each. VanBrandt despite having just 1 hit was our RBI leader today with 3. She singled in 2 in the 2nd and had a sac fly in the 3rd. We go for the sweep tomorrow at 5:00; televised on basic BTN.

  15. Pretty much a sure thing. Kentucky transfer guard Collin Chandler has committed to BYU, he told @On3. The 6-5 sophomore averaged 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game this season, shooting 41% from three.
  16. New Mexico transfer Tomislav Buljan has announced he’s committed to Maryland. The 6-foot-9 forward out of Croatia played one season at New Mexico and started all 35 games played for the Lobos this season. He averaged 13.1PPG, 10.3RPG, 1.5APG and 1.1SPG this season.
