  1. Less than 24 hours until the fun begins. In the meantime..................
  2. 8-2 Hoosier win this afternoon. 3 Hoosier pitchers limited Rutger to 5 hits all singles. Our bats came alive with 13 hits led by Ricketts with 3 and 3 other players with 2 each. Koskie and Denny each with 2 RBI. Tuesday evening we host Ball State and next weekend we're in College Park, MD.
  3. UCLA sweeps the series winning today 4-0. Sadly, only 1 of the UCLA runs was earned as we committed 3 errors. Troutt and Mannon held UCLA to 6 hits but sloppy fielding in the 4th was our undoing. We managed just 3 hits today after getting just 4 on Saturday. We're back in Bloomington this week hosting Butler on Wednesday evening and PUke next weekend.
  4. Don't think it's paywalled. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/article/indiana-womens-basketball-iu-signee-gigi-battle-wins-mvp-honors-and-national-title-discusses-why-shes-excited-to-play-for-the-hoosiers-280416625/
  5. Acaden Lewis was offered by Woody June '24; committed to puKE initially Nov. 24; decommitted and then committed to 'Nova May '25.
  6. We're no match for the Bruins and they take the second game of the series 7-2. We'll try to salvage at least 1 game at 3:00 later today. 5 Hoosier pitchers gave up 10 hits and 6 BB. 6 of the 10 were for extra bases - 3 doubles and 3 HR. On the flip side, UCLA's starter pitched the whole game and we managed just 4 hits.
  7. Our 1-game winning streak ended last night with a 9-6 loss to Rutger. We led 5-1 after 5 complete. Rutger scored 2 in the 6th and added 3 more in the 8th and in the 9th while we could only manage to score 1 more. Rivera pitched 6 innings allowing 5 hits, 1 BB and charged with Rutger's first 3 runs. Seebold pitched 2 innings allowing 3 more runs to score. Matalski pitched the 9th and also charged with 3 runs. 3 of Rutger's 9 hits were HR that accounted for 6 of its 9 runs. We had 12 hits with Koskie going 4-5 with 4 RBIs. We'll try to salvage the series today at 1:00.
  8. And to rub salt in the open sores about Woodson and Buckner, our '76 undefeated team will be honored at halftime Monday night and you know who will be there with his $hite eating grin.
  9. Tonight's first pitch pushed back to 6:30.
  10. Background on Markus Burton https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-transfer-portal-names-to-know-notre-dame-guard-markus-burton/
  11. Wonder who wrote it for him? UConn AD or his agent.
  12. Karvala and Bella Vista defeat Montverde 69-65 in the championship game of the Chipotle Nationals. Bella Vista dominated the first half but it was all MVA most of the 2nd but BV held on for the win.
  13. Full story at this link -https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/a-lot-of-emotions-shay-ciezki-reflects-on-her-time-with-iu-expresses-optimism-for-programs-future/ Comment Shay made to Seth Tow. From the one comment, we've already got a couple of transfers all set to formally announce their commitment to us.
  14. Really nice move on Trent's part to be there in support of future teammate Vaughn Karvala and do a little side recruiting on Jalan Haralson while he's there.
  15. Beaten by DME in the championship game of the Chipotle Nationals.
  16. What a way to finish her high school career with a double double leading her team in both points (22) and rebounds (10). And it was nearly a triple double with 9 assists. Named MVP which was a no brainer.
  17. Gonna be really interest starting Tuesday at just how quickly transfer commitments start getting announced.
  18. Hiller is a 5-star SF who attends Coatesville HS in Coatesville, PA, which is located about 30 miles west northwest from Philadelphia. From tidbits I've seen sounds like Duke is going pretty hard after him. Plays AAU for PSA Cardinals on the EYBL circuit. He's currently participating in the USA Basketball minicamp being held in Indy. @coltonhiller 247 On3 Hudl https://pablocong.substack.com/p/colton-hiller-an-elite-2028-guard From June '25: During the current AAU season, Hiller has shined for the 15U team of the Bronx, N.Y.-based PSA Cardinals in Nike's EYBL league. Per this circuit's Web site, he has averaged 20.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game while hitting 45.3 percent from the field, 32.3 percent from downtown and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe.
  19. There's always one or two that slip through the recruiting cracks.
  20. GiGi and DME Academy are national champions. They defeated Bullis School 68-49 in the championship game of the Chipotle Nationals. Box score should be available within the next hour.
