Women take a tough 8-7 loss to Louisville in 10 innings. Tied at 5 apiece after 9 innings. We scored 2 in our 10th but the Cardinals scored 3 for the win. 4 Hoosier pitchers gave up 11 hits and 6 BB. We had 12 hits with VanBrandt and Haberstroh each with 3. Bird had 3 RBI. This weekend we're on the road at Iowa (22-20) (5-10) and just 4-9 in Iowa City. All 3 games televised on B1G+. Evansville scored 3 in the 9th but our Hoosiers hung on for an 8-6 win. Linn started and pitched 5 innings of scoreless 1-hit ball. 5 more pitchers gave up 5 more hits and 7 BB over the final 4 innings. We had 9 hits. 3 players with 2 hits each and 3 players with 2 RBI each. Hopefully we can extend our 2-game winning streak in Bloomington this weekend hosting Abilene Christian (18-18). In terms of a preseason top 25 ranking IMO there's a good chance IUBB will be viewed like IUFB was until Cig arrived and our past way too many years of mediocrity will be what people think of and despite what the roster might look like our past performance is what votes will be based on.
