It had nothing to do with the outcome of the game, but I saw this morning that Izzo's father passed away on Monday.

(2016) ATH TYLER NATEE to IU
Class of '66 Old Fart replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
From 247 Sports: Just a day after Indiana lost Jordan Howard to the NFL, the Hoosiers earned a commitment from another physical, punishing runner. Euless (Texas) Trinity running back Tyler Natee committed to Indiana on Tuesday night, giving the Hoosiers a big-bodied and physical running back. “I love coach (Kevin) Wilson and what he does for Indiana,” Natee told Inside Indiana after his commitment Tuesday. The 5-foot-11, 258-pound Natee took his official visit to Indiana on Dec. 11, and immediately named the Hoosiers as his leader. It didn't take long for Natee — who was also considering Arkansas State, Baylor and others — to commit to Indiana. Natee sees himself "as a big bruiser helping get short yardage and help expand the offense in any way," he said after committing Tuesday. Natee’s commitment comes after Howard, Indiana’s First Team All-Big Ten running back, announced his intention to declare for the NFL Draft on Monday. It also comes after Auburn (Alabama) running back Tyus Flakes decommitted from Indiana. The Hoosiers now have two running backs committed to the 2016 class, as Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward’s running back Cole Gest is also in the fold. Natee is the The academics of Indiana attract him as much as the football program, he said. "It's a great team with massive potential but before that," Natee said after his official visit, "it offers a great business school. I love Kelly School of Business." -
For as good as he is, Ben Simmons can't be a one man band for LSU and they're off to a slow start as a team with a third of the season already gone.

PUke at Wisky on the Big Ten channel. At the half, tied at 24. Wisky holding their own against the PUke front line with 6 OReb and 12 DReb vs. 3 and 15 respectively for PUke who's also committed 9 TO's.

I haven't watched Gelon so this is pure speculation on my part, but maybe he is a deadeye shooter provided he's set when he catches the ball and not closely guarded. Not necessarily double or triple teamed but his defender is playing soft defense. Maybe not a kid who can necessarily create his own shots but more a catch and shoot player. And for whatever it's worth, Crown Point is participating in the Noblesville Holiday Tournament and defeated Avon 90 - 64. Gelon with 21 points on 7 of 9 from 3 pt. land. Not sure how far they were into the 4th quarter, but at that point, he had yet to attempt either a 2 pt. shot or a free throw. Sasha Stefanovic had 12 pts. for Crown Point. -

You're right. We should be focusing on the lower grades! UA Indy Hoosiers @Indyhoosiersbba 17h17 hours ago Avon, IN Sunday 5-7:00 pm Indy Hoosier Tryouts grades 2-8th. Southport HS. All border states welcome. Building Natl powers in Each Grade. Be there! -
You almost have to feel pity for John Groce. Not only does he have multiple Illini players out with injuries, today it was learned from a Chicago Tribune reporter that Groce won't identify the player by name but he has a player out with mumps and won't be available for the Illinois - Michigan game.

And the Lady Hoosiers are undefeated in B1G play beating Yale 76 - 60. They got a little foul happy in the 4th quarter and their shooting percentage slipped but was still a commendable 54% for the game and they hit 7 of 10 from 3 and 15 of 19 free throws. After turning the ball over 11 times in the first half, they only turned it over 5 more times for the game. Gassion 19 pts. McBride 16 pts. Buss 13 pts. Cahill 12 pts. and 10 rebounds. Great way to start conference play.

Looks like Rutgers will cruise to a win, but they are certainly far from impressive. Unless we treat TB like a leper, he should have a big night. Unfortunately, we do have a history of letting teams like Rutgers look like NCAA Final Four contenders.

The shots that wouldn't fall in Florida are falling tonight and the Ladies lead 62 - 45 at the end of the 3rd. 60% from the floor and 7 of 10 from 3-pt. land. Still controlling the backboard and not as sloppy with their ball handling. Gassion with 15; Buss with 13; 12 apiece from Cahill and McBride.

At the half, Lady Hoosiers lead 36 - 29. Buss with 11; Cahill with 9, McBride with 7 and Gassion with 6. Still controlling the boards with 18 rebounds vs. only 7 for Yale. Shooting 50% from the floor as a team. Only real negative is sloppy ball handling with 11 turnovers. 4 Yale girls with 2 fouls each; Cahill only Hoosier with 2 fouls.
