(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Baltimore Hoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Said this in the game thread... But wasn’t one of Romeo’s biggest things in picking a school, that he wanted to compete for a National Championship? Hopefully he wasn’t watching that nightmare tonight... really think it could hurt IU’s chances. -

I guess that's true, but I'm not resting my hopes on these facts..... -
(2018) PG Darius Garland to Vandy
Baltimore Hoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Really think fans should temper expectations and not "Wilkes" themselves. Vandy is the home school and has been all over Garland since day 1. Archie had to come in and play catch up late in the recruiting cycle. I'm still holding out some hope, but not getting too excited about this decision because I think there's a good chance DG picks Vandy over IU. -
No Shock here. Four B1G teams included. ACC with five. Indiana will have a chance to make some noise if they can pull off some upsets in the non-conference schedule. That game @ Seton Hall could be an early season bubble type of game. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/rankings

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Baltimore Hoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I've always been bearish about Romeo ending up at IU. Even AC (after Crean). But seeing him in that Tar Heels uniform is just hurtful. This weekend is the biggest recruiting weekend I can remember in terms of turning this program around and making a statement on the recruiting front. -
UNC NCAA Infractions Report
Baltimore Hoosier replied to Gahoosierfan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Let me get this straight just to make sure I'm understanding this correctly... UNC officially admits to 18 years of academic wrongdoing, completely pivots from that stance a year later and denies all wrongdoing. Now, after a years-long investigation, because UNC wouldn't come back and admit academic fraud and some Non-athletes were involved in these bogus courses, there is nothing the NCAA can do? What a ******* joke. Seriously. Tyler Hansbrough has a college degree in Swahili for **** sake! How can this happen? Indiana gets nailed to the wall for telling on their idiot coach for making impermissible phone calls and UNC gets NOTHING for 18 years of academic fraud by their student athletes and professors? I cannot believe what I'm reading in the notes from this investigation. The NCAA is a completely bogus association with zero authority and power to do anything about the real scandals going on in college sports. I need to breathe before I have an aneurism.. -

Louisville dropping out gives me some hope, but I think Kansas is the sexy pick for Langford. They are coming in late to the party but it seems like there is a lot of momentum. Plus they are another blueblood, will probably end up winning the Big 12, making the dance, and he'll end up getting a lot of press and accolades coming from a school like Kansas. I have a feeling Indiana is going to end up spending resources and time chasing Langford and it's going to turn out like the Wilkes recruitment.. No facts. Just gut. -
(2018) PG Darius Garland to Vandy

I've also heard from a friend with some Duke insider knowledge that R.J. Barrett is the new top priority for K. I've seen Quickley play about a dozen times. He goes to school at John Carroll, which is about 3 miles from my home.. He's a total stud. Pretty sure he was the Metro Player of the year in like 10th grade and has only gotten better playing against some of the best competition on the East Coast over the last several seasons. Kentucky is getting another good PG. -

Yeah I mixed Reddish up with Tre Jones. -

Gotta think that Duke signing Cam Reddish gives IU a shot to sneak into Garland's top 2 or 3 with Vandy and Kentucky. Being that IU is his "home school," maybe just maybe there's a shot to land him. -
(2018) PG Robert Phinisee to Cincinnati
Baltimore Hoosier replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Love the Phinisee commitment. Great in-state win for a guy with a lot of high level D-1 offers. I still think Romeo is a long shot for Indiana, but I would think at this point Archie and Co. are putting many of the proverbial eggs in that basket. Would really prove a point if this new coaching staff comes out of the gate and gets 3 of the top 4 or 5 recruits from the state of Indiana in year 1. -
Gonna be a tough game.. The last three times we played them it really wasn't pretty. Especially that 2015 beat down. I was in the 5th row, center court for that game in 2005.. Amazing atmosphere, but a loss nonetheless.

Love Archie, but I don't see him landing Langford. Lotta ground to make up and not a lot of time to do it. -
Grayson Allen is a one of the biggest crybaby/headcases in college basketball. Why is anyone kissing his @$$ ??
-
Agreed. I hated the way Crean rotated players. Why would your best players only play 25-26 minutes? Guys who can score and get their own shot NEED to have as many minutes as possible and that should mean 30+. Also, I think that ROJO could be an All-Big Ten caliber player if he could get more consistent and become the guy who puts the scoring load on his back. Very happy about his decision to come back.

Duke is no different than Kentucky or UNC in my opinion. They can all go to hell.

Random IUBB Recruiting

Anyone have predictions on who the first commit will be for 2018 given what we know so far? I'm going with Musa Jallow. Heard it here first. -
Who's declaring/transferring around NCAA 2017?

When you live and die by the 5*, you better hope the freshman are as advertised...
