I'm more caught up on the fact that it makes no sense to leave a $6MM salary and coaching the NBA's MVP for a playoff team... Also, all of the rumors swirling around are pretty much exculsively coming from message board posters who heard something from their brother's, girlfriend's, ex mother in law.

To the Donovan "insiders"... More reports this morning that Donovan is completely happy at OKC. Not willing to get my hopes up on this one. There is nothing I've seen that makes me think there is any shot of him coming to IU. There are zero ties between him and the program.

Your "sources" you mentioned yesterday on the Donovan situation didn't tell you the same thing?

There's alot of "maybe's" in that comment... What makes you think he prefers college or doesn't like Westbrook?

Right before that he says, "my commitment is totally here"... I want Donovan to be the next coach at IU. Just don't think it's gonna happen. It doesn't make sense for him.

Why do you think that Donovan is going to be willing to give up his $6MM a year and coaching one of the best players on the planet to come back to college to a program where he's got zero history? For the record some quotes of Donovan's recently: "I am totally happy here." "I love it here." "I love the guys I work with every day. I love our staff, the organization. As far as I'm concerned, my commitment is totally here and doing the best job I can while I'm here." This is just Donovan playing coy? Ehhh.

House went up fro sale on March 2nd, so it's probably just a coincidence. I would not get my hopes up on Donovan. Everything he's said makes it seem like he's extremely happy where he is and dedicated to OKC.

Donovan would be the best 'somewhat' realistic hire in my opinion.. 4 final fours and 2 national championships already. Played the game very competitively. Has coached at the mid major, major college, and NBA levels. I just don't know if he would want to leave the current gig to come back to college..

I'm going to rule Stevens out. He's got one of the best coaching gigs in the world.. And he's in the middle of an Eastern Conference playoff run.

If he loses this game to UNC-W I'd feel a lot better about this being a realistic option.

Doesn't make much sense to me.. Neither do the Stevens and Donovan rumors. But if folks want to get their hopes up, who am I to rain on the parade? I'm just gonna sit back and let this play out. Mark me down as one of the guys who has just accepted that Crean is gonna be here in 2017-18. I hate it but I've found peace with it. Really hope I'm wrong on this one though.

I saw a tweet that was later deleted by Justin Albers. Who else reported it? Just curious because I haven't seen much surrounding this rumor other than that.
