In a single game matchup, where he has a few days to get all jacked up on Diet Coke, clap his hands raw and blow a few gaskets trying to fire up his players? Definitely possible. Then, they would lose to Penn State or Rutgers. It's what Crean does.

(2018) SG Austin Boucher
TheWatShot replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
The MAC hasn't had good basketball since having a computer made someone cool. -
It's better to lose in the conference finals than the finals, everyone knows that. Actually, the earlier you lose, the better. Or whatever narrative the "Finals record, man" crowd comes up with.

Is this weird to anyone else?

Clearly being unemployed the past two months has given Crean a little extra time to hit up the tanning beds. -
Who's declaring/transferring around NCAA 2017?
TheWatShot replied to reconmkd's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'm really glad Dakich was wrong. Otherwise Purdue would be a top 10 team next season and Steve Alford would be our coach. -

We won as many Big Ten titles as you did, son. And you made Purdue look sexy all right...until you played Kansas. And he's one to talk about "fabricated BS," considering Purdue was his third choice and his guardian more or less forced him to go there. -

Dakich says Swanigan is coming back. Have to think he's right. Nobody waits right up until the deadline and decides to stay in the draft. -

I think he'll be back. Purdue already has their basketball roster out for next season and he's listed on it. -
You could be the Tigers. We've lost 5 games this year when leading in the 9th inning. We won't get rid of the 35 year old pitcher who's blown four of them (despite fastball velocity dropping the last three years) and we've kept Anibal Sanchez and his 10+ ERA on the roster despite both of them being in contract years. Oh, and we're paying the corpse of Victor Martinez to jog around the bases this year and next, and we're paying Justin Verlander and his 4.5 ERA to pitch here two more seasons after this one, to the tune of $28 million per year. This is also happening after our owner passed this winter, leaving the team to his kids, who don't seem interested in spending as much as he did. There's more, but I'll stop. Baseball sucks.

Anybody willing to trade a bag of baseballs for Francisco Rodriguez? Dude is worthless. Just blew a save for the second day in a row and leads the league with four on the year.

If there's a slower baserunner than Victor Martinez in the majors, show me who he is.

Report: Thomas Bryant to hire agent
TheWatShot replied to AZ Hoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think he's going to be destroyed at the next level, mentally and emotionally. Regardless, best of luck Thomas, and thanks for the Big Ten title. My favorite memory of him will be hitting those clutch free throws to ice the UK game and outplaying their overrated bigs. I wish he'd had better coaching while he was here. -
The author should have asked Crean how his new job is going.

We've been hearing about what a bright future the Sixers have since about 2012 or so.
-
There was never any reason to play this series.
-
The Pacers should have just missed the playoffs and saved themselves the time and embarrassment, but anyone who has any familiarity with the history of this franchise knew that would never happen. They're always either good but not good enough, or bad but not bad enough. They'll never get the players to be elite because they'll never draw free agents and they'll always win just enough to avoid the lottery. It's infuriating. I miss the PG pre-injury days, as well as the Reggie Miller teams. Those teams certainly had their flaws, but it was way better than the directionless garbage we have now.
-
So in other words, he won't be coaching next season. I'd love to hear the media who defended him and acted like we were making a big mistake try and spin that.
-
The only way that could possibly happen with this much talent is if our coach goes all in and screws everything up. I just hope we don't lose to IPFW or at home to Nebraska. That would be really embarrassing.

LOL. Gonzaga just dropped a huge deuce in the final minute. -

Never mind, I thought Gonzaga was 38-1 right now. They would only tie that mark if they win tonight.
