  1. It honestly looked like Purdue quit in the second half...or maybe the Kansas guards are just that fast. No idea how we managed to beat that team.
  2. Come on Kansas, get 100! I hope Purdue fans wake up in a cold sweat this offseason hearing the "rock chalk" chant.
  3. My faith has been restored. Purdue being Purdue; totally dominated in the second half. I had a bad feeling this might be the year they finally had the perfect combination to go all the way: a balanced roster, everyone healthy all year, a down Big Ten, and college basketball as a whole being down, but in spite of everything they had going for them, they still managed to embarrass themselves. Well done, Jayhawks.
  4. Kansas has outscored Purdue 59-27 since Purdue had an 8 point lead.
  5. Purdue finally misses a 3 and all 260 pounds of Swanigan goes flying off the court to draw a foul.
  6. It really sucks how in the last 7-8 years, we've not only lacked postseason success, but we've had to watch nearby programs go on deep runs. Butler and their back to back title games, UK with a title as well as a surprise run, Michigan going all the way to the final game, UK almost going undefeated...all while we sit at home and watch. It honestly sucks.
  7. Purdue is on fire. I think they win tonight.
  8. If you saw the Thunder play last night, they look pretty distracted already. How do you know this?
  9. We can now refer to him coaching here in the past tense...and it's a wonderful feeling.
  10. Rabjohns and Snow both thought Crean was staying.
  11. I'm not sure there was "precedent" for firing a coach a year after he was conference coach of the year, but that didn't stop us...might as well keep making history.
  12. We could have kept Crean for another season. Sometimes the writing is on the wall.
  13. Random thought, but is recker still alive? Not sure I've seen him post since Crean was fired.
  14. We didn't have to bring him back two years ago, either. But we did. We didn't have to make Bill Lynch head football coach because he carried out Hep's dream. But we did. We didn't have to let the players decide Mike Davis as our basketball coach. But we did. When you've seen poor decision after poor decision from your athletic department for a decade and a half with different people, you just kind of expect it.
  15. "Memphis is where I want to be." --John Calipari, 4 days before resigning
  16. A newspaper isn't going to publish rumors. That's what online media is for.
  17. What was really striking to me in this game was that Duke looked like the less athletic team.
  18. Duke looks beat. Don't see that very often.
  19. I can't remember a tournament game where Duke was dominated in the second half like they've been tonight. Wait, maybe I can...
  20. Has South Carolina missed a shot this half?
  21. Been a gripe of mine for awhile, but teams need to stay on the floor while the officials are at the monitor. Enfield is getting a free chance to draw up plays while the officials add 0.3 seconds to the clock.
  22. Every year, you can count on a highly seeded Pac-12 team getting knocked off the first weekend. The Pac-12 is a finesse league, and a feisty underdog or physical team gets in their grill and they fold. Rhode Island is crashing the heck out of the boards right now while Oregon stands around bewildered.
  23. "That's a foul because he got in his personal space and made him uncomfortable." Yeah, it's called blocking out.
  24. UNC is a cluster right now. It might be Arkansas's night.
  25. Man, these refs sure are working hard to get MSU back in this. Three fouls away from the ball on Kansas this half, waved off a Kansas basket that was touched when it was already through the cylinder, and just called a technical foul after a Legerald Vick dunk for "taunting." Weak.
