Vermont had a player go down with a pretty ugly knee injury late in the first half. They had led most of the game up to that point. I've never seen Purdue get more lucky breaks than they've had this season.

I love how Purdue fans keep reminding everyone that they're in the tournament while we're firing a coach. It has to get under their skin that us firing Crean will get more press than their first round win.

Imagine if we land Donovan, after he turned them down twice. There wouldn't be any egg on their faces because their heads would explode.

Funniest thing I ever heard from a Purdue fan, when we were going through our "We're back" phase... "THEY are back, WE never left." I asked "left what?" and never got an answer.

I'm sure he's probably in the camp that feels we wouldn't get a good coach to come here because "no one wants that kind of pressure." It's just another example of the loser mentality that's engulfed so much of our fanbase.

If we start poorly, I think we get blown out. I also think it could be the other way around. Teams tend to have an ambivalent attitude about non-NCAA postseason games, and this can result in some crazy runs where one team just completely obliterates the other. For example, you give up a 10-2 run, you find yourself wondering why you should care, and suddenly it's a 20-4 run. We could see literally anything tonight.

Crean would look at it and just say "I know how we can beat this. Just gotta play faster."
