The Vandy insiders are certain that Romeo’s coming. I DM’d one guy back when Garland committed and he said that Garland told them directly that Romeo has already verballed. Disclaimer: I believed and still believe that he was full of ****. Not consistent with how the Langford’s have handled the situation so far.

This is getting tired. The big bad IU boogie man fanbase... gets so overblown.....the truth is that if Romeo were to have committed to Vandy during the season, he wouldn’t be hearing NEARLY as many boos as he’d be hearing crickets. The Indiana fans wouldn’t have showed up. I remember so many players who chose other schools before or during their senior campaigns... May, Lyle, Lyles, Thomas, etc. etc...... the fans just stopped caring.

I agree. Winning is the only cure. We’ve dug ourselves into a hole as a program. Climbing back to relevancy (nationally) is going to be a long and hard one.

He’s very good. He’s getting better extremely fast too. He’s high major material imho.

Let me say this first: I am not emotionally invested in this recruitment much at all. I expect him to choose Vandy. I personally think he’s chosen them a while back. With that said, Garland’s statement was much more telling than any of Romeo’s......”It’s cool. I met (four-star signee) Aaron [Nesmith] for the first time yesterday, and I am looking forward to building a relationship with both of them.” This just helps support everything that I’ve heard about this recruitment. One thing I know for certain is that Drew owes his entire salary to Darius Garland. He’s been 99% responsible for delivering this results off the court. also..... IU is going to be so good under Archie Miller.. Vandy will have a quick rise and a hard fall.... our rise will be slower but we will sustain. I truly believe that.

It’s not an indictment of Archie. This roster is trash and he didn’t put any of it together. We have a long way to go and he’s gonna have a much harder job than I think anyone anticipated. Getting Romeo expedites this process.

The talent disparity is so noticeable. I’m trying to remember a time where we looked so helpless. Jaren Jackson is special. Would be nice to get some of these guys.

He recruited Mckinley Wright and Antetenkoumpo.... Big Steve...... He did just fine @ Dayton.

Had to turn it off. College officiating, overall is so poorly done, that I now prefer watching NBA games. It’s such an awful brand of basketball.

Cool. We aren’t talking about 1 player. We are talking about 90+% of an entire roster. His hands are tied. I will admit, I do not understand McSwain getting the mins that Smith should be getting.

This sounds dramatic but I promise you that it will play a part......this team quitting on their coach is the worst possible thing that could happen to Archie in terms of recruiting.... he has a huge hole to dig out of. These kids could have helped to lay a foundation for something special. Instead they quit as show zero pride. They’re losers. Harsh but true.
