True. I’ve personally come to grips with my expectations. This team just isn’t as good as I expected them to be. The insane amount of injuries, I’m sure has something to do with how poor we’ve looked as of late and it’s really concerning. If we can’t get these guys back fully healthy, then I’m afraid we are a fringe tourney team. The B1G is strong this year. Much stronger than anticipated.

This is why college basketball is becoming unwatchable for me. The officiating is so poor in comparison to the NBA. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills hearing all of the whistles. Flow can’t be established, we are not able to play with the same physicality of the opponent, and what the f*** was that flagrant call? -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky

The words I would use for myself (I’m excited too) is “at ease”. In 2012-2013, I was really excited but I definitely didn’t trust in CTC yet. With Archie, I have this trust factor. Even last year in a down year, I felt at ease. I could see marked improvement in the defensive scheme and fundamentals. Not just that but ball protection and effort were being improved. It’s not easy changing any organization’s culture. Archie started doing it instantaneously. I want Trayce, Keion, and the rest of the 4-5 star Hoosier boys. But I find myself not getting emotionally invested in their recruitments AT ALL. It feels good. We are in good hands. This dude was born to lead our program. Perfect match imo. Good times ahead. To stay on topic: I believe, from what I’ve heard around town here, that Keion is IU bound. Hope they are right. -
IUBB vs. Marquette 11/14 at 8:30 ET

Thanks for the insight Hogfan. Welcome to the board. Looking forward to our game against you guys. The Marquette game was a good measuring stick for us but I’d rather see whether we can go into a tough place like Bud Walton and come out with a win. Most here would agree that Assembly Hall is worth at least 10 pts during a big game. Best of luck to your boys the rest of the way (after our game of course). -

I’m on record saying I’m not as optimistic about this recruitment as most. I don’t think he has been as much of an IU lean as people have claimed. Hopefully I’m wrong but my gut has been telling me he’s headed elsewhere for some time now. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners -

im Not sure I share everyone else’s optimism on this one. I believe him when he stresses that Indiana isn’t a clear favorite. I have an uneasy feeling about this one. -

I would be shocked if this didn’t drag out as long as Romeo’s recruitment. Shocked. -

Very true. I once worked selling insurance and would often be sent to canvass the east Chicago/Gary area. I remember how intimidated I was at first. The area looks like a war zone and all you hear about is the crime rate. After meeting the people in the community, I can say with absolute honesty that it was the greatest collection of human beings I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. Nearly every single person welcomed me into their home with open arms and tried to make sure I was fed and had something to drink. Most had jobs and were hard workers. This was eye opening for me. Turn the tube off and base your views of people off of your personal experiences with them. Get uncomfortable. The amount of good human beings exponentially outnumber the bad. This is my personal experience. -
Smith, Hunter, and Damezi all seem better than I was anticipating. I’m also bullish on Race. We will finish top 3 in the B1G. Book it!

Furst is going to be a monster. Mitch McGary type IMO. But I’m bullish on Colsen Montgomery. I think he’s a top 3 player in the state in this class. -
