  1. Don't forget that Troy Williams was a Jordan Brand All American. Basically an AA. All of the players beside Decker and Williams in the Jordan game were McD's AA's. So we really have 4 starting.
  2. I'm impressed with our team this year and at the same time disappointed that Holt, Hanner, and DD are missing. That frontcourt depth would have helped us tremendously against Maryland and Purdue.
  3. Recruiting classes don't mean nearly as much to me as individual player rankings. LSU had a far better haul than we did but we'd wipe the floor with them IMO.
  4. This is the year Yogi has all of the pieces he needs as well as being in a position to lead. Last team he legitimately could play a true PG style under was his freshman year. I think Yogi shines and leads this team to a final four this year. He's the most under appreciated IU player of my generation IMHO.
  5. James Blackmon Jr.
  6. Also similar to the James Blackmon last minute visit.
  7. Indiana and Kansas should never be losing recruits to Miss State but this happens all the time. Howland, Pearl, and Johnson are selling a vision at this point. These are football schools and will always be football schools. Eventually it will be hard for these guys to sustain a pattern of this type of recruiting. Elite players want to be treated like royalty and have as much exposure as possible. Sadly, places like MSU, Bama, and Auburn will never command a ton of media exposure. The market will never be there for ESPN to slot them in multiple primetime spots over the likes of Kansas, Indiana, and the other traditional BB's who have massive and loyal fanbases. I'd bet money that 2/3 of these coaches will move on to take a bigger job once they've squeezed every bit of success out of their current jobs. Pearl is definitely a guy who would take a job like IU in a heartbeat. Not tht we'd want him, given his history. I'm just saying he'd bail for a better job.
  8. This is a trend
  9. Which really stinks for us, considering the position we are in when speaking of CKW's contract situation. He needs to be extended or fired. I'm not sure he has earned an extension. If you would have asked me last year, I would have staunchly opposed firing him. He brought some excitement to the program. He recruited well and has a high octane offense. This season has weakened my support of CKW significantly though, like a boxer being worn down by taking body shots for an entire match. The defense is downright embarrassing and makes it hard for me to watch. They are so predictable that I dont need to watch the game to know whats going to happen. Sadly I dont think this is going to change until we pony up and pay top notch assistants competitive wages. I really do want CKW to succeed.  He's one stubborn defense away from having a team that can beat the big boys on a regular basis. Has to be frustrating for him, I imagine.
  10. I'm going to be waiting by my computer the second they are released. I'll never get courtside tix to a Hoosiers game this cheap again.
  11. Maybe its to take him with them to the mid major school they'll all be coaching after this season?..............sorry....I had to... No worries mods. I'll ban myself for the rest of the day.
  12. I'm confused. I thought we were stacked with guards and wanted to add Scruggs in 2017......   Either way... Congrats kid and welcome aboard. Not gonna dog a young man who is that excited to wear the stripes.
  13. I would not accept a commitment that early. I personally love John Beilein's approach. I also feel like that approach is even more effective at blueblood schools with elite coaches. Hold the offer and make the kid feel like it's quite the accomplishment to have earned that scholly offer.
  14. It'd have to be.
  15.   Not saying that there is no way your friend is right but I will say that I have went from having an open mind towards posters who claim to have inside sources, to a guy who believes none of these people. Not after the end of last year, when the realization set in that the Brad Stevens to IU rumor was complete bs. That one cut me deep. Lol.
  16. I've been a supporter of CKW up until this evening. Time to give someone else an opportunity to build the program.
  17. It's time for a change.
  18. Redding just hit the Majettes
  19. Darius Latham is 49% human and 51% Grizzly
  20. And his real number is zero.
  21. It's sad really. You would think he would practice what he preaches with his players. He is always harping that the players must improve in specific areas yet you see the same exact, fixable mistakes with him, over and over again. Hard to believe he's attempted improving his deficiencies.
