Brad Stevens and his wife are very conservative. I remember reading an article in the star where his wife was talking about having sticker shock, when house searching in Boston. Double his salary from Boston, lower the cost of living by 4x, and put them closer to family and friends..... You may just be able to. He'd be worth every single penny north of $5+ Million. The relationships with local AAU coaches would instantaneously be mended and he'd come to Indiana with any NBA reference he'd want to put on his resume. He's the next Coach K, if he decides to come back to the college ranks. The folks who argue that there is no proof that he'd succeed at Indiana are fooling themselves. He nearly hung 2 banners at Butler with unranked recruits and has a bottom of the barrel NBA roster ranked as the NBA's #1 defense. He's as close to a "sure thing" as one can get. There's a reason the fanbase is united on his name.

Id rather the stands be empty this year than have the fans boo. It's such an embarrassing thing to watch.

If that's the case then I'm not sure boosters wanting change would matter much. What's next? Fan boycott?

   I have zero direct connections with booster of the University, let alone any influential boosters. Anyone on here have a good feel for the type of mood these people are in? Whats the general consensus, in terms of their feelings towards the current coach?

Glass cannot be as stupid as he's made himself look. He HAS to have a guy picked and have insider knowledge about the timing of making a move. I just cannot fathom another scenario. The guy just isn't as dumb as we all think he is.........Then again, he is the one who inked Crean to that blasphemous extension.

Curious.... When did he make it public that he wanted to coach college?   He would recruit very well but my concern is that he would run an NBA style offense. As we've seen with Crean and we see with each Calipari coached team, this doesn't work in the college game unless you've got NBA talent across the board. That's just too much pressure to have to recruit at that level every year. I'd take a Brad Stevens/Bo Ryan type of coach with Indiana resources over an NBA guy who hasn't coached successfully at a college program.

Kentucky Duke Kansas MSU (not a traditional blueblood) UNC Bluebloods who seem to have very little trouble being consistent contenders. Also teams who miraculously seem to avoid having an entire batch of "bad apple" all Americans. Must just be coincidence that he's had the exact same issues in 7/8 seasons. Couldn't reasonably be Crean's system or approach. No way.

This is not meant to be a joke but we should seriously pray for the players, the coach, and the coach's family. Last season was really bad towards the end and a much stronger storm is blowing in. I'm part of the group that thinks it's time for a move but I truly worry about how these people are going to be treated by the darker side of our fanbase.

You're in for major disappointment. Your man is about to get the boot. He had 8 years to right the ship and he's failed miserably. He's always been a mediocre coach, every place he's been. Anecdotal evidence from Assembly Hall to the moon.

They are all a part of an entitled fraternity that thinks they can do no wrong. Seth...You were fired from crap VA Tech for having a .580 Win % and you think Tom Crean has done a great job with his .527 Win % at INDIANA!!!!! Stop protecting your cronie and be what you're paid to be. A professional college basketball "expert".  Stop avoiding the fact that the expectations at Indiana are much higher than you're friend has lived up to and he's been given AMPLE time to get it figured out.  I'm going to lose my mind this season.
