The NCAA is such a colossal joke. Hanner Perea and Peter Jurkin missed a significant amount of time for the bumper sticker bs. They were swift in that judgement against us. Hard to convince me that they dont have a personal vendetta towards IU. I'd be fine with the NCAA being completely dismantled.

The stink over UNC has absolutely affected their recruiting. They aren't even sniffing the usual 5* elite prospects they are accustomed to getting. They are landing some solid talent but they usually could be put down for 2-3 McD's AA's per year. Brandon Ingram grew up a UNC fan his entire life and chose Duke!   I agree with everything else you said.

Then you just want to install some add ons (very easy). SportsDevil is the best add on for live sports. There is also an espn 3 add on that should help in this particular case...... That Early Duke game or Kansas game could be huge for recruiting. If we beat a national powerhouse on a large stage it could be a catapult. Then again, I thought having 2 top 5 draft picks in the same year would be too.

SInce this visit isn't coming during a significant basketball event, I'm placing a ton of my hope in the recruiting efforts of Thomas Bryant. If he convinces his buddies to form a crimson and cream, super shredder version of Huntington Prep, then he is going to be my favorite Hoosier of the last two decades.

I would add that UK doesn't have a zero graduation rate. He produces a crap load of 1st round draft picks. I think the reasoning behind many peoples argument that these kids need to have something to fall back on is an absolute joke. When you've positioned yourself to guarantee yourself a multi million dollar salary, you take that opportunity. It can go away so fast. College can always be an option after that. The college experience won't be there per se but the college experience is not worth jeopardizing/risking your financial future. See Cody Zeller. He would have been taking an enormous risk coming back for another season. It really comes down to the fans putting our own selfish desires above what's best for the kid and their family.

I honestly like the pickup. We will need him and we are delusional to think that we are filling these 4-6 spots with most of the kids we seem to think we are getting. Going to be a lot of broken hearts by the time this class rounds out. I learned my lesson from the 2014 class.

Closer to home and would be playing for a coach and team that likely wont be drowning in turmoil. I worry about the recruits watching us next year. The fanbase is expecting quite a bit out of this team (rightfully so) but we haven't quite cooled on our stance with our coach. The second that this team starts to take on the characteristics of a Tom Crean team, the fans will let him have it and if we thought the end of the season was ugly for Coach last year, then just wait until this team starts to fall short of our expectations. I feel bad for the kids bc I think the fans see this as a final four or bust year. That's asking a lot out of this group IMO.   Edit: I'd like to add that if this team has early success, we could see a major recruiting momentum. Something tells me that Thomas Bryant will attract some studs to come play with him, especially if he's having fun. Bryant, Holt, and Davis would make for one physical frontcourt.

It worries me that Miller is recruiting De'Ron. Miller is by far the best recruiter on that list and its not even close.
