  1. Looks like in practice and how effective it is in games could be different.
  2. That is kind of what i thought but could not remember. Do you think Tayven or Cherry is more likely just based on the current roster? It seems when Tayven has been in this year it has been a run first focus.
  3. Has Cigs/Shanahan had success with mobile QB as well? Wondering about next year and the 2 QBs on the roster now and which is more likely to take over unless we sign someone better.
  4. If it were me, and I did not think the guys Uconn signed would negatively impact my playing time I would have to strongly consider going there or holding off on decision until i see what this new offense at IU looks like.
  5. Been trying to avoid a couple of hurricanes down here in FL and must have missed the secret unofficial visit. Can you shed some more light on that.
  6. Braylen's dad is a policeman right, and just guessing here, but I would imagine in that field of work it is harder to get to games that are further away.
  7. Talked with him tonight. He is doing pretty well. Praying the cancer stays away and he can get the energy he needs to really enjoy his teams. I also learned he coached Braylen’s dad when his pops was younger.
  8. DMc missed time this year with a concussion right? That caused him to drop kind of like when a QB gets hurt and his backup tears it up. Sure there are more opportunities to play when a receiver since you can play multiple but perhaps he saw that the Rourke and the others had a very good thing going, felt extending his post concussion recovery vs getting less time to overtake one of the receivers made more sense. Kid looked like he had a chance to play in the nfl based on what he did to end the year. So it isn’t out if the question. Likely, maybe not, but possible. If the path here has become limited why give up your NFL dream.
  9. My cousin is a lifelong IU fan and season ticket holder for basketball and football. He is kind of the Donald Davidson of IU history and can spin a tell of teams, coaches and players back decades. He recently has been fighting cancer and while he has recently been given a good prognosis (it was not good a few months back) chemo takes a toll on you. He is pretty tired but still makes the trip down to Bloomington for just about every game this fall. I used to have some connections in the ADs office so I thought I would reach out and see if they could do something for him. I once was able to get bring a small group to attend a practice and brought my cousin along. During a tour of the facilities, my cousin was able to point out things that the guide did not know. He loves the IU experience and I was hoping that they might just call him and encourage him in his battle. Little did I know, they were already aware and on it. Scott has personally been sure to take care of him and have had him in a suite with AC and food for each game. Makes me proud of my school and since Scott takes some heat at times I wanted to share this story as well. My cousin is not some big time $ guy but a retired teacher who loves IU. It was so nice to see IU love back on him during this battle. I know he will treasure this more than anything.
  10. He started this thread interestingly and with a bit of flair. If we can hold off Colby College we could be in really good shape.
  11. I agree and to be fair to them, if they should win the BT, that would honestly be very impressive. Personally, I think they finish outside of the top 5.
  12. Keeping Cig is not only going to be about increasing his salary but has to also include Increasing his staff's salary Increasing the NIL Getting and keeping the stadium full He may take pride in knowing he built us into a national power, should he stay, but at his age he also has to consider which opportunity will give him the best chance for success. I think i read somewhere about how he did not really get a big payday till later in his career. Since he was an assistant for so long, then a HC at a smaller school, he may need to capitalize on catchup potential if that should come with an offer from a blue chip football program.
  13. ND doin some work. Good way to see what Shrews can do.
  14. Has he set an announcement date?
  15. I agree. It has to be Mullins and another 5* or it is just another class like we have seen for the last several years. reibe seems to be the best chance at that.
  16. I admit to hoping we finally get a freshman recruiting haul. I think we got a portal haul for sure but we often seem to get one McD level and miss on getting several
  17. What time do we expect an announcement
  18. Followed closely and surprisingly by Mike Davis.
  19. Not so fast my friend. That leprehcaun looks like Lee Corso though. So it clearly means we are getting someone that at first glance was thought to be headed to ND
  20. Were we feeling pretty confident on Sisley a few weeks back or was the thought he was a Purdue lean? I thought I read that a few times and so if he does announce for us this is an even better.
  21. Nice. I don't see it posted anywhere official yet but i could easily miss. I saw where he cancelled Kansas and was moving Purdue up but did not see where Purdue was cancelled officially. If so, nice
  22. I think that should be considered. He and Steichen are close though so that will make it tougher.
