This is not really a good comparison at all. When Allen came in and coached the D only he did something extraordinary with this unit and had that side of the ball playing at an incredible level for Indiana. Now was that enough to make him the HC? I don’t know but Allen did justify being considered given his ability to turn a historically dismal unit into a very strong D. I am sure it can matter to some. Maybe many but then you look at some of these top programs and they don’t have that worry. Sure some are one and done but UK has over recruited about every position and yet they get it done. I agree. It definitely appeared to me as if our momentum had stalled. It could have just been the appearance of being slow as I don’t know what really goes not but we did seem to miss on top targets. That was a great summary of things. The improvement was real and as terrible as the losing streak was it was a good reminder that we did not really have the bad losses we had in year 1. I tend to agree but he sure would help his cause if we have a good year this year. We don’t need a great year, but a good one with an NCAA appearance would help.
