DeBoer has prior HC experience and that likely helps Allen as he himself does not have much HC experience. I might be over emphasizing this but I think that adds a lot of value and if he were to leave, I would prefer someone with more experience than Hart. That was cool but mainly because I became friends with Bensons friend, Scott Clampitt for several years. We both moved our families from Bloomington to the same town in Northern IN and our families got very close. Is that the 10 pt stretch where we hit 2 threes at the end of the shot clock and their normally reliable shooter missed badly 2 wide open 3s? It may not have been but if so that 10 pt run was not nearly as impressive as the points suggest. I have gone to several games the last 2 years and want Archie to do well. He seems to make good halftime adjustments but I would love for us to start the game with that same effectiveness and not end up well ahead at halftime. I am glad we won but i do get tired of slow starts. I would love to see is come out early and smother some of these teams. Play defense so tight and aggressive all game but especially early. I would love for an opponent to have to call early TOs to regroup his kids who have been thoroughly smothered on D. We have done some of this in part in the second half but just a little. I want to see this team come out of that tunnel at the start with an attitude and play like this means something. That could be. I honestly thought he may be someone that could help us move away from squeaky clean. Archie comes from a close family. One that he kept in touch with regularly through the IU interview process. A family that probably talks often about basketball and building programs. That family of course includes Sean Miller. No need to repeat what Sean has been doing in AZ but Archie was a key assistant and helped recruit for him at OSU. That family also indirectly includes coach Cal.
