I'd be surprised if it's that much of a difference. The Broncos still have what won them the SB, their defense, and without Sanchez the Panthers can't rely on him inevitably screwing up.

I'd worried if they didn't. -

We have gotten the Indiana Mr. Basketball twice in that time, Jordan Hulls and Cody Zeller. I know that winner may not be the top in state player in 247 composite, but just throwing that out there. -

pUKe wouldn't have that luxury, if they relied on what KY produces they would be utterly screwed. Not many of the blue bloods are located in the heart of a recruiting hotbed like IU is. -
Post Game Discussion: Indiana 34 - FIU 13

Room to grow, especially on offense, but not a bad showing for the first game. Hated that call on the Fant PI, really felt it should've been let go since there was very little there. -
1) Since I expect the offense to take a step back, the defense has to take a step forward. Giving up 37 point a game will be difficult to overcome if the offense isn't as good. This includes tackling better (and at times last year tackling at all would be an improvement), and not allowing yards after contact. Coverage can help the defensive line, but only to an extent, given enough time and a QB will find an open receiver; we need a way to generate pressure. Pressure doesn't have to mean sacks, but getting hits and muddying the packet also help; doesn't have to be just the D-line, could be from blitzes, but we have to generate some pressure. 2) Running game needs to remain strong to make it easier for the QB. I don't really like Redding as the primary back, but hopefully he takes a step forward in that regard. 3) Solid QB play. He doesn't have to be a star, but he must be able to keep the defense honest and make good decisions with the ball. Without solid QB play the defense can just stack the box.

I get what you're saying, but that's been said before too. We were even coming off 2 Sweet 16s in a row and couldn't capitalize on momentum. I don't know why I'm supposed to believe it's going to be any different this time around. To me it's just more of the same as we've seen until it's proven otherwise, and it's going to take more than one or even two seasons to do that. -

My goodness, the pUKe basketball/Bama football reversible jacket fans are even more intolerable than the average pUKe fan. -
(2017) WR Whop Philyor to IU

That name sounds like it came from the Key and Peele skit. -
I kind of have to agree with Old Friend here. If Diamont is our starting QB this won't be as good of a season as we want, QBs have to be able to throw and he can't; it's not just his arm strength but his accuracy as well, last we saw he struggled just to throw on target intermediate passes.

Our uniforms set us apart, they're different from what you see today. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm on board with an alternate that's used a coupe times a year for something different or minor changes to the current uniform, but I don't want our uniforms to look like everything else you see ala the Nike sweat stain. Indiana basketball hasn't been anything special on the court in 20 something years, that doesn't meant the uniforms have to change just to change. If they made an on court difference I could see the argument, but they don't.

I've got some of that UA gear, I typically wear one under my work shirt because it keeps me a little cooler than a regular t-shirt. I've also got the cheap Wal-Mart knockoff of it, and I really don't notice a real difference that matters. Materials are probably the same, or very similar. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the person in a sweatshop made a pair of Nike then made a pair of Adidas right after and only changed the logo.
-
There comes a point when you're literally only paying for the name on the shoe, and not the shoe quality. That's true in anything. A $5,000 Gibson Custom guitar isn't 5x the guitar of a $1,000 Gibson, it might be 2x and the rest if for the word 'Custom'. With shoes being much less expensive that will be true at a lower point. I highly doubt a $200 pair is twice the shoe as a $100 pair.
-
I was running in gym class back in high school and had the sole come off a Nike. No company is immune to things like that.
-
Or he just got a pair that was the shoe equivalent to a 'lemon' car, which could happen to any company. I've had Adidas last just as long as any other shoe, and I've had Nike's fall apart. At the end of the day they're probably made in the same sweat shop.
-
Every company is has made some ugly uniforms. Nike has made some ugly ones, and UA has made some as well; I specifically remember a football uniform they made that never should've seen the light of day (or gotten the designer drug tested). You take the best offer.
-
You can't go overboard with the top end teams though or you wear the team out. There is a bit of a balancing act, you need some easy wins but you need to be challenged too. We need to trim the fat on our OOC schedules.

From what I was able to find in a brief search it depends. A 'husky' is a LB/S hybrid, and a 'bandit' is a LB/DE hybrid. -
I feel you on the front office; Cashman is a good GM but the Steinbros and Levine won't stop meddling. I don't mind the Texas deal from the Yankees perspective. A young pitcher with high upside for a couple month rental DH.
-
Well, the Pirates got killed in that trade. Two players to be named later for Ivan friggin' Nova. Why do I say they got killed without knowing who they'll give up? Because one living, breathing human for Nova is highway robbery.
-
Just wondered. Yankees will have spots in the infield. Headley is getting old, and at best is average, so 3B would be a possibility. Castro is, well yeah, so 2B is possible. Gregorious is looking good at SS, but if Torres turned into a better option so be it. Worst case, Torres gets filtered out through the minors since most prospects never reach the majors. That'd be disappointing but right now it's a highly regarded prospect for a rental they got for pennies on the dollar.
-
Does he have the arm for 3B? Him and Mateo are both in A+, Mateo had played well enough for a promotion but didn't get it and was upset hopefully he doesn't take this as a slight and they can get along. Any chance he could play an OF spot if needed? Or is he strictly infield?
-
I hadn't heard of Torres since I don't really follow the minors closely. I heard prospect I was hoping he'd be closer to the majors, but he's only 19. Instantly the Yankees top prospect, although a couple are close to him in overall prospect ranking. They already have Gregorious and a SS prospect they're high on (Mateo) but if he pans out they can figure out positioning later. Hopefully they can fix Warren. Cashman is good if Steinbros/Levine would stop meddling.

Envelopes of cash to recruits sounds like something pUKe would do......oh wait.......
