I'm not big on Lagow by any stretch and would love to see us go after one of the QBs that just left their school (the guys from OSU or Bama, not getting either one though), but to be fair most schools don't have two starting caliber QBs; usually a backup QB is a backup for a reason. And he just threw another pick. Screw it, put in Cameron.

Official 2016-17 IUBB Preseason Thread
JSHoosier replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Hmm, realized there is one big difference in our little/big brother dynamic. We don't stop others from picking on little brother. Kind of like... Others: "What's Purdue?" Big brother: "Exactly...." -

Saw that on Facebook earlier. They are making a statement, it's the same statement as always: Little brother jumping around waving arms: "Hey guys, look here! Look!" Big brother: "Just stop, you're embarrassing the both of us." -
(2017) PF Clifton Moore Jr. to IU

I don't have an issue with 1 and dones, it's the ones where you pervert the system to get them for the one year (has Eric Bledsoe spelled ACT yet?) I don't want. You need that kind of impact talent on the team to win at the level we should expect. -
And if they're a football or basketball school depends on which one they suck in, if they suck in football they're a basketball school or vice versa. They thing they're the top dog, but they're the annoying little brother jumping around waving their arms just trying to get attention. It's pathetic really, I feel sorry for them; they're so desperate to feel like they matter.

Indiana vs Wake Forest Game Thread (9/24 - 3:30 PM - BTN)
JSHoosier replied to Dalton26's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Trust me, if we had a better option I'd be more willing to make a change. I'm not that high on Lagow, and to me arm strength means zilch if it's not on target. Diamont is being drastically overrated IMO, he can run a little bit but he can't throw at all; that would be intentionally handicapping the offense, and the opposing D would load the box on every play. QBs have to be able to pass, they do not have to be able to run; the last we saw of Diamont he was a long way from even being serviceable as a passer, the best thing for him is a redshirt year where he works extensively on throwing. -

Everyone talks about arm strength, frankly I'll take an accurate QB with a weaker arm over one with a big arm and struggles with accuracy every time. Which still excludes Diamont. EDIT: I can really suck at typing sometimes. -

It's also just his 3rd start at this level, I'm at least willing to see if/how he bounces back. I'm not even that high on Lagow, I thought posters on this board were over hyping him; I would've preferred Chad Kelley. I think the team has more upside with Lagow, but much of that is 2 years of evidence showing us Diamont in utterly incapable of keeping the defense honest. This was a real s**t show but it's one game vs 2 years. -

He's not a better option. Lagow was horrendous today but at least he's can pass, Diamont can't. -

Frankly, he's lucky it wasn't 7. On one the WR did a good job playing corner on a pass that hit the Wake DB right in the hands, and on the last TD the ball hit a Wake player right in the hands but was broken up by another Wake player. 5 INTs and easily could've been more. -

It was a great pass to the DB too that was broken up by a second DB. -

This performance needs to be an aberration or this will be a long season. First power 5 opponent and didn't look a bit different than last season. -

That was almost pick #6. Lagow has been horrid. -

Put Lagow on the friggin' bench. The backups couldn't be much worse. Wake Forest wouldn't have to worry about the threat of a pass because Diamont can't throw worth a crap, but on the bright side we wouldn't have to worry about the threat of a pass either. -
I'm worried about in-state recruiting.
JSHoosier replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He may be clean in relative terms, but the way recruiting is there is no such thing as a program or coach 100% clean. He did commit a secondary violation in the Gary Harris recruitment (which these happen a lot so I don't care, just saying). He may be cleaner than some/most, ahem looking at Cal who probably sleeps wrapped in a cocoon of his own wings. -
The thing is the Patriots offense isn't the same with the backups, they simplify and change it to put the backup in the best position. This season their offense is something like 22nd in DVOA, not good. That's why I can't put much credence to the 'system QB' argument, because they're not running the same offense. Plus a defensive coordinator has a certain amount of guessing to do with a QB they haven't seen before. Belichick is one of the best coaches in NFL history, and Brady has undeniably benefited from that. Would he be the same if he was taken by the Browns? Doubtful. He has absolutely had the benefit of having a great coach, but they are much better with Brady under center than without. The team that went 11-5 and missed the playoffs with Cassel went 16-0 the year before with Brady. I don't even have a favorite NFL team, I'm just get tired of people minimizing what they've accomplished or not wanting to give credit. They've been the most dominant team in the NFL for the last 15 years, which people hate as a Yankees fan I get that, and having a Hall of Fame coach is a big part but so is having one heck of a QB.

Good move by the program. With those charges against him prison will not go well.

Same here. I tried saving the view and don't even see a way to select the view I saved.

Their citizens may not complain much, but that's probably a product of getting beheaded if they do complain.

I forgot about Talib, and didn't even know about the others.
