Live by the 3, die by the 3...except last night.  Thomas Bryant was the doctor that kept us from dying.  Great game by him.

 

Defense was terrible.  Turrrible.  Yogi and Troy had bad games...but IU still found a way to win.  I like how this team is playing right now.  Even when they're bad they're good  good enough.

Let's be honest. Last years team would've lost this game. Having a post player this year is a huge difference.

Last years team did not lose to a winless BT team at home. We lost to Iowa at home late in the year but Iowa was not bad like Minnesota.

We lost some preseason games but those were early in the year.

No, last years team did not lose to bottom tier teams at home.

Finally watched the game on the DVR. It seems like we just forgot the last 6 weeks happened and decided to go back to 'pickup game' mode.

A win is a win is a win, but I just feel that for the majority of the game, IU reverted back to the way they played in the non-conference which is troubling considering the 2nd half of the B1G schedule is pretty packed.

can they use the team 2 years ago for their argument? The game that reminded me of this Minnesota game. Penn state was down 8 with 3 min to go and came back and took the lead and we never recovered.

Yeah, completely fine. We lost a lot of games down the stretch that year.

Not sure it means much to be better than that team though.

Double digits I'd say. I don't know. He's falling away sure enough but what I'm seeing is the layup opportunities aren't there in the first place. It's streetball. I imagine it works with some regularity in practice because we are poor defensively but it's not practice. I'm seeing a lot of head movement, ball faking and direction changes but he doesn't really go anywhere. By the time he actually decides to put it up, he's further away than he started. I don't know. I just can't take him trying to drive into multiple defenders with no plan. He loses it every time. Got soooo lucky tonight that we didn't lose it at least 4 more crucial times off the top of my head.

Well, a cold streak is actually the only problem sitting on the bench can't cure. Making enough baskets to restore confidence in his shot is the cure.

 

Luckily for him, everyone seems to have forgotten the open 3 he missed at Wisconsin in the final minutes, so at least he isn't going to be reliving that on those open looks.
