Honestly this is why I have been surprised the last couple of years. Outside of Cody Zeller we have not had any good defenders coming out of this state. Has high school ball in Indiana turned into AAU ball?

I knew the football games were, I didn't realize it applied to other sports.

Yeah! It's pretty cool. I'll have to look through and see what they've got at some point. Maybe I'll watch the Vonleh year and play "spot the similarities" with this year. I wonder if I could physically stand to watch the PSU game yet. The football games will start being more exciting after this year. Right now watching old football games is all misery outside of this season.

We play Marion twice a year and it is crazy. I think Luers is the only team I have seen play any defense. They just needed Blackmon to go to Marion.

They are in our conference hung 98 on them in sectionals last year

I played Salvation Army ball with him. Kid was a ball hog punk. Pretty decent player relatively speaking but not all that. Of course we were only like 8 or 9 at the time.

Side note, one of my best pals is on the HPD.

No I didn't hear about that. Last I looked HP went to a paid news site so I quit checking in on the local news.

Raul Martinez (your age) shot his 18 yr old gf in the legs. Calls 911 and tells them he is taking her to the hospital. When he shows up the hospital was on lockdown and 2 cops were there. Dude gets out of car and starts shooting at them. Cops shoot him in the legs and he kills himself. Since I am a part of the safety committee there I have done nothing but sit in meetings and fill out paperwork this week.
