You can hate on Kentucky all you want but they've been to 4 Final Fours and an Elite 8 under Calipari plus the championship. They just went 38-1. They only lost 2 games during AD's freshman year. Or look at Kansas who has won the Big 12 what? 11 or 12 times straight now? I'd like for Indiana to be at that height. Not where Wisconsin is. And same goes for their playstyle. I wouldn't watch if IU played like that. Not how basketball should be played.

I cited Bo Ryan simply as 1 coach who consistently puts a winner on the court without getting caught up in the recruit rankings.  Mark Few at Gonzaga is another and there's many more. Whether you personally like Bo Ryan's style of ball or not is irrelevant because year in and year out he puts a competitive team on the court because he recruits players that fit his style.  What I want is a consistent level of high performance and I believe you can do it without always having a top 5 ranked recruiting class.

Well I never said you didn't have to play defense but the name of the game is scoring as much as you can. But 90% of defense is effort and we didn't get that from anyone this past season.

I'd never say we're a Mid-Major cause we're still in the B1G. But we are not and elite program. Elite programs are in the tops in recruiting every year. We aren't up there with UK, KU, Duke, UNC or Zona right now. Those 5 of your top programs and I'd say we're quite a bit behind all of them. Can that change? Well yea. But not by recruiting 1 top 25 player every year.

 We recruit fine.That's just part of a winning equation.

Look at Wisconsin,Witchita St, etc etc.We out recruit these schools but they are out performing us.

The brand's here but you have to win or it will diminish over time as I fear it has somewhat already.

This is a make or break year for this coaching regime.

I'd much rather use their model than jump into that pit of corruption.

Yeah, there's more than one way to play the game.  All you have to do is outscore the opponent, doesn't matter if it's 60-55 or 85-81.
