I work right next to the fire. Didn't really have any effect on my day except give us something to talk about. The president coming to town yesterday was more disruptive than the rain and fire combined.

I went from sound asleep to wide awake standing next to our bed after a single lightning strike at 1:49 a.m. CST. 

 

The last time that happened was back in '89 when our house was hit by lightening. The strike traveled into our house through our cable and burned burned the coax in half in our basement. It shook the house so hard that things fell off a shelf.
