Iowa calls timeout with 1.4 sec to throw the ball the length of the court.   Throws it to a Minny player who drains the half court shot at the buzzer.  Minny up 4 at half

Houston at Cincy coming up.   Cincy probably second best team in AAC.   Interesting to see how Houston plays today

I had SMU rated as the second best American team but they blew an opportunity yesterday at Wichita State to further their cause.  If Cincinnati could beat Houston, that certainly goes a long way for the Bearcats.

So we actually won within a month of it opening...amazing. Abe Lincoln was right when he said half the stuff on the Internet is made up. I guess all this time I believed someone who was wrong. 

 

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I now have slightly less anger over all the ridiculous losses we've racked up in that place.

I never took SMU serious.   Resume is lacking.  Beat win at Memphis and lost a Q4 game to LMU and Q3 loss to Missouri  no win against the field 

Cincy at least beat SMU head to head and beat Illinois at full strength on a neutral court     Q3 losses to Monmouth and Tulane hurts.  Neither are serious threats for an at-large  bid at this point     Houston is just so far ahead of everyone else in this conference even being down 2 starters   AAC isn’t good

Minnesota playing the exact same game we did at Iowa.  At half, Gophers up 38-34.  In the second half, Iowa has outscored them 37 to 19 with 3 minutes to go.

Agree, they aren't good.  Think going forward SMU does have a little window (or maybe had before their loss to Wichita State) in that they play Houston twice and get Cincinnati at SMU.

Wyoming is a tournament team that could win multiple games.   2 really good players surrounded by kids that can shoot

Wyoming Player, Drake Jeffries, is from Mattoon, Illinois. It is about 30 miles from me. I have seen him play a ton of basketball in Junior High and High School.

There are a few of us IU fans who posted for Hoosier Nation. Would have been interesting to see what he would have become.. but Archie .. probably not much.
