they count but it shows we aren't ready to compete at the level of UK and UNC every year on a neutral court. We can't consistently beat Butler on a neutral court. Losing to UCLA or UK 4 of 5 years isn't going to help us any.

We are 1-2 away from assembly hall this year. We had a fluke win against a team that didn't scout us.

There was also that win against UK last March…curious to hear why that means nothing either.

We've beaten UNC, Kansas and Kentucky all within this calendar year, two of them away from home. We won't get a chance to face UCLA because we're more concerned about whether we can beat Butler or Notre Dame. The people in charge of the CBS Sports Classic wanted us to play in the event. They obviously felt we were good enough. Instead it's 3 basketball bluebloods and a football school.

Self didn't know who Curtis Jones was. He went off for 15 that game.

Wouldn't necessarily calling it going off. Only had 11 until the last 20 sec when he hit 2 foul shots and baseball pass for a dunk for the last bucket of the game. Maybe crean didn't scout Kansas that game as well since mason went off for over 30

We can't count last years wins different players. That team struggled with neutral court wins also they just happened to get a big one at the end but they had a pretty pathetic record overall throughout the year.

Or Mason is a star where as Cujo is is a freshmen that Butler just shut down.

So, let me see if I have this figured out...

We beat UNC, but it was at home, so it doesn't mean anything even though we never trailed the entire game. We hit clutch shots when we needed to, but that doesn't mean anything either, because if those shots don't drop we MIGHT have lost.

We beat Kansas on a neutral floor, scored 103 points, but that means nothing either because we had a freshman score 15 points who shouldn't have scored 15 points and that means Kansas didn't prepare for him.

UK last year doesn't count because it was last year so it means we have to just pretend it didn't happen.

Look, I'm not trying to argue Crean is a great coach. I get frustrated with his inability to adjust to teams that take away our strengths. But I really don't see the need to downplay our program's ability to the extent some of our fans do. If we beat Louisville in two weeks it will probably be because they just didn't try hard enough.

freshman kamar Baldwin had 14 (not a star) yesterday we lost by 5. It's called basketball other people besides stars usually step up and win games

This!
Butler tried to deny the perimeter, and that left it for Newkirk, who in the first half drove to the rim with ease, TO MAKE SOME MOTHER TRUCKING LAYUPS.
In the second half, the same dynamic occurred, Newkirk played with confidence, the perimeter thereafter opened up, and we almost came back for the win.

This was the tweet from Josh Margolis - Can't add anything more than that.

Gardner-Webb does not have a single player over 6'7". Only had 3 wins over D-I teams before today, all 3 v. KP sub-300. Brutal loss for Neb
