Favorite IU BBall Dunk or Block of All Time

Recommended Posts

Back in the day--- I remember when my intramural team played against football players in the HYPER.  Man---they were huge and we got waxed! Of course we only had one guy who could dunk (not me)----and they had several!

Football team has sure had some great athletes---like Latimer !

Watching a 6'9" Ray Tolbert dibble the length of the court and tomahawk slam is easily my most favorate IU dunk. I saw it again on one of those youtube mix tapes which showed a lot of great dunks by others including Cheaney and Greg Graham. Tolbert was also the best high school dunker I ever saw with Andre Morgan of Anderson HS a close second.

Leapin Ray! He has to be even today one of the best athletes to ever suit up for us.I remember put back dunks out of nowhere on a fairly regular basis. Had a bit of a mean streak also. Loved that guy.

My brother and I nicknamed him Leapin Roy Talbert after some announcer mispronounced  his name.

Game still gives me nightmares

Not near the nightmares the Teddy Valentine foul out parade from the final 4 gave me I bet.

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist but Ive watched that game several times since and it just about turned me. I'm not really mad anymore.

Yes I am!

I agree with Woodson1980 on that Duke Final Four game---too may phantom/touch fouls in a short amount of time!

That game was taken away from IU and given to Duke---and it still hurts!

I think that's what contributed to that temporary Coach K and Knight fallout--Bobby knew when he was being ripped off!

That's right Rebel. That with the Henderson injury represent at least 1, maybe 2 titles Coach Knight would have had.

There's no doubt  in my mind we would have won it before that happened.

Along with1975 those 2  would have us tied with the evil empire! Oh what could have been. :(

Now its time to get this program back to that stature.

Get to work CTC!
