I'm certainly not that attuned to the softball program but do we have a workhorse pitcher?  On paper it's Natalie Foor but I didn't think she was that effective last year and other than her, it's underclassmen with extremely limited time on the mound.

Cora Bassett started off our game against Florida Atlantic with a leadoff solo HR.  A hit batter with the bases loaded scored a second run and Hoosiers off to a quick 2-0 start.  Macy Montgomery started on the mound against Florida Atlantic.  Basset doubled in our 3rd run in the 2nd inning and she scored on a single by Grace Lorsung.  Before the inning was over Brittany Ford crushed a grand slam to make it 8-0.

Florida Atlantic got a run in the 4th but we tacked on 3 more in the 5th (Lorsung a 2-run HR) to make it 11-1 and that's how it ended.  Montgomery pitched 4 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits; she struck out 6.  Heather Johnson pitched the 5th inning and shut FA down in order.
