Been hearing this has been going on with Vonleh

Recommended Posts

Overall I do tend to believe these rumors about Vonleh have likely been exaggerated.  What I posted earlier was based on the hypothetical assumption that he actually has been bashing the program.  As of the current moment, I don't have any ill feelings towards the kid and I wish him the best.

I don't have Ill feelings towards him, I would just like the air cleared. I wholeheartedly believe Vonleh deserves some beef with Crean. 26.3 minutes per game for a lottery pick. Underutilized, etc... I would just like these issues resolved so Indiana can get back to high level recruiting and their winning ways. I have mixed emotions on this whole thing. Not sure if Vonleh bought in either.

I don't see that happening in a public forum though.  I agree with Doc Libby that Noah commenting on any of this is probably going to be discouraged.  Commenting on it could be looked at as lending credence to it.

Noah was in foul trouble alot this year....He had to sit a good bit.

This. He made some really horrific fouls that landed him on the bench in a lot of games. He was on the floor as much as anyone except for his knack to foul 2 defensive trips in a row

We beat the national champs if he doesn't get in foul trouble 30 seconds in.

I thought about that too, but really he is a 4 playing as a 5.  That leads to many tic tack fouls when you are covering the post.  If he was guarding the 4 he would have been much better off, regarding the foul situation.  I really wish Crean would have used Hanner and Vonleh together.  I would have been really interested in these results.  That would have given Luke Fischer more minutes too.

So that changes...what exactly? We still would've had a better chance to beat the eventual national champ.

Excellent post about the fouls and how he should have been played.
