We'll have at least 1 senior come in. You can almost guarantee it. I don't feel like they should be allowed to speak though. I think that should only be for 4 year players.

I agree. Evan's speech was extremely awkward this year.

If the player's blood, sweat and tears were done wearing the Cream & Crimson for even 1 year, IMO they ought to get to make a "senior" speech. I also believe that if we know a player is not going to be back, they ought to get to thank the fans ie Victor and Cody last year. JMHO

This is how fanatical this fan base is, there's actually a debate going on about who should be allowed to talk on Senior Night. In the overall scheme of things it means absolutely nothing. It's just a nice thing to do for the kids who've put in a ton of hard work to give them a bit of recognition and love from the fans and to say thanks to everyone who helped them along the way. I thought it was great the student managers got to speak this year, they put in a ton of time too and get very little recognition or appreciation for it.
What about Seniors who came in their Sophomore year..or Junior year? We just leave them out because they joined up late? I agree about Grad transfers, but only allowing 4 year players sounds pretty silly.
I guess I didn't mean just 4 year players. I meant guys who had been there for awhile. Also think Vic & Cody should have been able to give a speech. Mo creek, if they know they will be gone.

It appears next season we will also have time for senior cheerleaders and band members.

...and some people will ***** about anything.

It was actually a joke. After our own Saturday night massacre(look it up) on a Monday, I thought a little humor would cheer the masses. There's still plenty of daylight left for what you mentioned.

I thought BtownBanners is about discussions, opinions, debates, etc. for IU followers. Everyone's opinion is different and that's why it is interesting. I'd rather read posts with a crazy topic than read your posts bashing topics and people's opinions. And remember, when posters criticize crean and IU and you don't like it so then you turn around and criticize those people for their opinions, that makes you a hypocrite.

I find it concerning that mods here have confirmed rumors of Crean mishandling the team. Of course, mishandling is a subjective word... What is improper to one may not be bad to someone else. But, by all accounts, Crean is in the wrong... About something.

It makes me wonder about his capabilities to lead our boys, who are talented, to become the best men they can be on and off the court.

There is doubt.

But there is also reason to be optimistic. I won't give up on a program that returns Yogi Ferrel, Troy and Stan. I will be excited about a team that adds James Blackmon junior, Rob Johnson and Max Hoetzel. I have hope we can land Yante maten, Josh Cunningham and Anthony Lee.

Yes, the transfers suck from a stability standpoint. But from a production standpoint? I won't lose sleep over it. It's concerning, sure, but how much does it really impact next year and the on the court display?

To give Tom Crean some credit, he has been a head basketball coach for a very long time. It's not as if he is unaware of the problems. I'm sure he will work to correct them... It really is in his best interest. How much faith you want to put in him to do so is up to you.

If the boys put the work in this offseason, I am hopeful. I'm realistic too. I don't think we are NCAA champions in 2014-2015. I'm not a "homer" like that. But this season can be a turning point for the team. IU under Crean will IMO be made or broke this season.

Remember in times of darkness, "this too shall pass."

There is reason to have hope.

But as for me, I will never count out Indiana University.

Sorry for the length...

You've really misinterpreted my post and that doesn't make me a hypocrite.
