I'm all about change but these are ugly! What tradition? Have we done anything in basically nearly 30 years anyway

So tradition doesn't mean anything if we haven't won a title in a while? Indiana basketball is a blue blood program regardless

Do you honestly believe that the "traditions" 20 yrs ago were the same "traditions" 60 years before that? Traditions change and evolve all the time.

Tradition and evolve sorta don't belong in the same sentence. IU hasn't done anything to change much since they built Assembly Hall. Uniforms remain the same, William Tell etc etc. Of any of the programs in the NCAA who can truly say they have a tradtition because nothing much has changed, it is IU. Why change it? What are the benefits of new jerseys? I don't want to hear the recruit nonsense. We got Noah Vonleh, Cody Zeller, Yogi Ferrell, and Vic Oladipo without changing a thing. Recruits don't go to schools for jerseys.

I think they do belong together. You didn't answer my question. Is the tradition the same 10, 20, 50, 60 or even 80 yrs ago?

Why do the jerseys matter so much? Who cares what they look like? As long as Indiana is on the front and the guys wearing them are busting their asses then nothing else should matter. If everyone is so stuck on tradition then let's strip everything from the program down and go back to the way the program was day 1. Think about it at one point the candy striped pants weren't tradition but now 40 yrs later it's blasphemy to think otherwise.

Can you imagine if Social Media was rampant 40 years ago.... the Candy Stripe pants would have been a huge "argument"... I don't like the unifom change but I understand that traditions do in fact evolve....

People would have lost their minds haha.

I honestly don't care either way. If we keep them the same or change them I'm fine. It's all about the guys wearing them.

I don't care if IU changes or keeps the same uniforms forever I just hate it when people say that it's blasphemy for IU to do so. Kentucky UNC duke Kansas have all updated uniforms not saying that IU should but you can't say those programs have no tradition because they changed unis.

Couple things... Indiana has a long history prior to Assembly Hall...  Secondly, Traditions change over time.  Traditions are added and taken away.  Time to accept it and move on.

A quick timeline for you...

I personally just like a classic look. I'm a Colts fan and our jerseys are fine the way they are. I don't like the goofy dots on the shoulders. I'm not completely opposed to the cream white ones if they got rid of the extra stuff and it just said Hoosiers.
