The last time no team from Indiana made the tournament was 2005, but before that it was 1975 according to this Sports Illustrated article. I'm pretty sure that is wrong though, because didn't IU go undefeated in '75 before losing in the elite 8 when Scott May went down??

I went to Dayton that year to watch the Hoosiers play. We won the first game and then lost to Kentucky by a bucket. We had been rated #1 that season. Scotty May was lost during the Purdue game that year. Breaking his arm at West Lafayette cost us back to back championships.
We have no shot of running the table in the Big, especially with no bye. Maybe if we played every game at home and that's a huge stretch. I say win the big tourn and lose in first round.
Hell every game is pretty much at home being only 50 minutes away but I get what you're saying

Any other year, I would take the play-in game. For some reason I feel like this team will develop better if they go to the NIT, win or lose. I think it would make them more ashamed, and hungrier. I don't think they should get to feel the accomplishment of going to the dance. They threw away too many games for that. I think they are better served knowing that for every action is a reaction
