Indiana Pacers 2.0
Geez, old doober here that still loves this last regular season. Yes, post season play needs adjustment - can be done! Again, RH needs to Shrink-up. LS like Metta World (that supreme sage with great Pacer twitter advice) has Extreme Intensity and Skill running in those veins; living on the edge is baggage that comes with this intensity. There is too much Kravitz imitation showing up here. Taking a big chunk out of this team would be a setback that would have to playout for the next few years. As for speculating on potential trades, I suggest a new thread entitled, Pacer Pipe Dreams

I understand the disenchantment with ET, but Scola, my oh my, at least one more year.

Where is Dalton when you need him/her? Should be here whining about the whiners.
Who are you? Charlie is that you?

I'm always here but I'll be a little busy with the Finals coming up you wouldn't understand.
So Reggie Jackson wants a starting job, and based on pretext from another quote he wants to be a starting point guard, which rules out OKC.

I want reggie Jackson on my team

So what is the most you guys would give Lance per year before not pursuing him any further? I know a number that has supposedly been floating around NBA circles is 5-8 million. At most if he signed a shorter deal, maybe max three years, for 9 million that would go as far as I would want. If he wants a long term deal I'd rather pay him what comes out to 6-7 per year for 4-5 years, and maybe the fifth year is a player option for something like 8 million on that deal. Could try to throw in more incentives in the long term deal

Nuggets are open to trading the 11th pick in the draft for a vet. Might throw our hat in the ring to see what it takes, though they also mention they want to find a way to move up in the draft. I'd assume the two would have to occur outside of each other, unless they also included one of their top young prospects.

So this has little to no chance of happening, but let me dream for a minute.

I read an article this evening saying the Lakers are going to offer Lebron a max contract. I can't imagine why he'd leave a guaranteed title contender in Miami for a lateral move in pay and a garbage roster to carry, but what the heck, let's pretend he does.

Calipari jumps at the chance to coach him and they get a room in LA.

UK and the Miami Heat crumble, leaving the Pacers as the runaway favorite in the East. The Pacers reach the Finals by sweeping the Detroit Pistons in the first round, finally getting some kind of payback for the brawl. Then they knock out a suddenly average Miami Heat team while Wade desperately flops all over the court trying to keep up. Upon reaching the Eastern Conference Finals, a healthy Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls await. A remarkable recovery by Rose has prompted the media to revisit their Pacer hate from this past season and relentlessly pick the Bulls in five or six. But the Pacers, now a mentally tough unit that doesn't take **** from anyone, kick them to the curb and head to the Finals, where...

…Lebron and the new-look Lakers have become one of the most hated teams in pro sports, with the most disliked coach in the college ranks roaming their sidelines. Fifteen years after losing to the Lakers in their only Finals appearance, this time the Pacers are left holding the trophy. Pacer fans storm the court in celebration and Calipari experiences a PTSD flashback to my avatar.

By this point, the NCAA's investigation of UK is well underway and uncovering more and more lies and broken rules each day, with each discovery more horrifying than the last. The Pacers, clearly the best team in the East, pledge to stay together and win more titles for as long as their careers allow, and the youth of their core starts talk of a budding dynasty.

Never hurts to dream...

Can we pick up Patty Mills? Or...?

I wouldn't be opposed. If we continue with GH we could go with CJ and Mills off the bench, since CJ is big enough, plus has a big enough wing span to match up against opposing/mostly back up shooting guards in the league. Also, MIlls really worked his ass off to get in shape, it is like night and day watching him last year to this year

It has been really interesting to see the divide in the fan base over Lance. I'm leaning towards not overpaying him, but some fans really really love Lance and want to offer him a max contract like deal. Which seems crazy to me

Rumors are out there that the Bulls are shopping both the 16th and 19th picks for future first round picks. Might as well throw our hat out there, if we could get a guy like Elfrid Payton that would be pretty cool

I have to admit, I think Lavoy Allen could develop into a nice bench player.  I am glad he is bringing him back.  While we are at it, could we please FREE COPE?

Was really hoping we found a way to move up and get Early or Stokes.... oh well.

When do we release the Summer League Roster? I think Summer League should all be about Solo and his development
