And what's hilarious is...we were always in the game. If we had a D ranked like 80th instead of 117th, we would've been bowling.

If not in that game, there were a couple of other games that it would have made the difference. I'd be happy to see the IU D jump up to the 70-80th mark this year.

Yeah, with the offense we have a defense that's bad instead of "do we even know what defense is?" would mean a few more wins.

I'm not expecting them to shock the world but I definitely see us bowling. High powered offense with a hopefully improved defense. I'm excited.

Seriously, as I've had time to rethink the new DC hire, and having factored in a season of growth, more time in the weight room, and another crop of promising kids, I think we'll improve. It probably won't be a HUGE step up, but it should be improvement nonetheless. At least the football team should experience some improved play this next season.  :laugh:

While the defense was horrible a couple of third down stops here and there would have given IU a few more Ws.

I'm not sure they will improve a ton either but with another year of improvement from the defense AND offense we should see more wins.
