OT: Super Bowl XLVIII, Broncos vs. Seahawks

Recommended Posts

There's the "Playoff Peyton" i've grown to love!

Hey, getting past the first round is an accomplishment for Peyton.  Usually the best defense against him is turning the calendar to January.

Although Chancellor should probably expect a sizable fine from the NFL for picking off their golden boy.

I didn't know Brady was playing. You said the NFL golden boy so I was confused.

If it was Brady, he probably would've referred to him as "The NFL's best QB of This Generation".

Best system QB maybe. You plug Cassel into that offense and they were still a playoff team. Brady gets too much credit that should go to the HC.

They missed the playoffs with Cassel, and the offense was run completely different.

Regardless they were a playoff caliber team. I think Brady is overrated. It's all on the system. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Super Bowl wins don't lie. Cassel got plugged into one of the better Patriot teams. Who did Brady have this year? Amendola is a concussion with legs and he's about the only offensive weapon anyone had ever heard of before the season, not to mention an injury-plagued defense. I don't really like Brady, but he's the best.

So Dilfer is better than Marino with that logic.

I don't buy it, because the "system" has changed.  He's had 3 different OCs and all three have ran different offensive systems, I have a hard time calling him overrated because of it.  He's also done more with less than any QB in the NFL.

Fair enough. You have a right to your opinion. We'll agree to disagree.

I literally never used that logic. I said Brady has more Super Bowls, yes. Then, to add to that, I mentioned how much he can do with such little talent around him. In what way has Peyton ever proven that he is better? By breaking touchdown records with some of the best receivers in the league? Impressive. Brady did the same thing, then won it all. Peyton threw most of his championship chances to the other team.

They aren't the end all be all but QBs are judged by their success on the biggest stage, in the NFL that stage is the Super Bowl.

I don't judge based solely on SB wins.  I look at both regular season and post season, but weight the post season more.

You did use that logic by saying superbowl a don't lie. If that was then Marino is worse than Dilfer. You said it so I was making a point to it.

I'll never compare two individuals with superbowls because it's a team thing so I'm with you in a way on that.

Just to clarify I'm not saying Brady isn't good but I think he's overrated in the sense that he's the best QB in his generation. I'll take Peyton. I'm also 150% biased and hate Brady.
