IU vs. PSU Post-Game Thread

Recommended Posts

I found myself wondering who the two guys were, Etherington did show some good things but also some bad.  Im very happy they played thru that early deficit and worked hard to get back into it.  I sort of knew PSU couldnt keep shooting lights out 3's but still we picked it up.  What is the rumor of the three players, what did they supposedly do?  Violation of team rules?

Rumors floating on this thread of drug violations. But a story on the Hoosier fan page talks about "Hollowell's Benching Warranted" and that IU is better off without him, that had he been on the floor today we would have lost. I can't say that I disagree. Davis didn't play much, but he was in the game, which would indicate a disciplinary issue rather than a pass-fail drug situation. IU official page, of course, never tells us anything, LOL.
"IU is so young we should be elated with any win". That is paraphrasing an actual post on another board. Wow, just wow. Talk about lowering the bar.
For this season that's shaping up to be true, though. I hate it as much as you do, but we'll take what we can get I guess.

Till you get the first win, you should indeed be elated just to win one. Now that monkey is gone. Next monkey to shake is to beat a good team. We've taken a lot of really good teams to the wire away from home. Beating Wisconsin puts us back in the tournament picture. Let's do it.

I was very worried when IU was down 15. It's not that I lost hope, but this team is so young with questionable leadership. It was great to see the play hard as a team, and not playing street ball. Yes, it's Penn St., but IU needed this win! It was a must, and they gutted it out. IU's shooting struggled a bit at times, but they made plays when they needed. Sheehey really stepped up his game, and finally got back to what he does best. Being a glue guy that does whatever it takes to win. He didn't let his first half shooting bother him, and he kept at it.

Props to him, Howard, and Etherington. Guys who played tough, and impacted the game outside of scoring. Others did too, but those really stand out to me. Stan continues to impress which is great to see. Hope he starts soon, but he's a great 6th man to have!

He'll get T'd up in one of these games and i'm gonna laugh my A$$ off when it happens.

It just happened against Mich St.

But I agree, I love this kid... I love the fire, I can't wait to see his minutes continue to rise, and I don't even care if he gets a few Ts along the way
