Jeff Howard

Recommended Posts

His hands aren't real good but he played some tough D, got some rebounds, an easy lay up, slick assist to Noah. He played quite a bit longer than I expected.

He was ok... The big thing was he was a "message" from Crean... He got the start over Hollowell. Both a message to Hollowell and a reward for always going hard in practice.

He was decent though, he pulled down 3 early rebounds and had a nice assist. Also got 15 minutes of playing time (which basically doubled his playing time for the year to date.)

Jeff Howard played well for a walk-on senior. Had a good +/- number, and played solid.

The move seemed to send a message, and hopefully Crean won't have to do it again.

Basically it was a message from crean to the team, if u work hard at practice all week u will be rewarded by either starting or getting plenty of play time. Jeff played bery good D and deserved the playing time that he had

It was awesome to see hard work pay off!!! He's not the best player on the floor, probably the worst of the starting 10. But he has heart. A big heart. He has work ethic. Kudos to Coach Crean in getting Jeff a start. Hopefully others take note. Wasted talent is the worst kind of talent.

I was glad to see Jeff get more time in, hopefully the message to Jeremy smacked him in the face and woke him up. He reminds me a lot of CWat and has the potential to be a serious bad ass.

Yuk

I agree, he reminds me of C-Wat, but more athletic. I've said this a few times, he will be one of our best players once he puts it together. He has a very bright future!
