No reason to think he won't. Fred Glass has been the best thing to happen to Indiana football in a long time in my opinion.

I agree with you.  Fred Glass has been really good at that job.

If he was to replace Mallory, I think he would try to go out and get a guy who has proven success at a blue blood program and I think the trustees would give him the OK to pay the man as well.

I don't think Mallory is going anywhere tho.  Do you?

I really do think he'll be gone. Wilson isn't an fool. He sees the same thing we do every week. He's also not OK with just being a decent football team. He has his sights set on reaching a pretty high level and that's not happening with the defense being run the way it is now.

He's been asked about it a lot and has never said anything indicating he thinks Mallory is a good coach or the right man for the job. It's always just along the lines of "we've got to use what we've got" and so on.

In fact, when he was asked if he had faith in Mallory before the Minnesota game, he simply said "I better" instead of giving any actual affirmation which I thought was pretty telling.

OK, well you are following all of the discussions in the news probably a lot closer than I am.

I just watch the games and come to talk in the game threads and read a few topics on message boards like this.

But Mallory has some credentials.  He has two rings, one as a player and one as a coach.

Also, the talent on the defensive side of the ball at IU has almost never in IU history been good enough to compete.

Are you sure the problem is Mallory?

Read this.  We do need more talent on that end, but there's no denying Mallory absolutely has to go.

Howdy ya'll. just got back from the game with a dead phone. So happy the team pulled it out.

I'm calling an Ohio State or Wisconsin win, followed by a HUGE let down vs Purdue. THAT is Indiana Football.

I ready alot of "Fire Wilson" talk on Twitter tonight, as though a bandwagon is being started for it. In case some haven't seen, it isn't so much the offense as the defense. Curious to see what will happen with Mallory after the season is over.

I don't want it to happen... Trust me.  It would just be the most Indiana Football thing for them to do and end the season.  To be completely honest... I think we might beat Ohio State.  There is NO reason I should have that feeling in my gut, I just do.

I kinda had that same feeling when the season started about the OSU game.

I think Wiscy will absolutely beat the living CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP out of us. We never play well against them.

However, I think that IU will come out and surprise a lot of people against the Buckeyes.

And if we somehow defy the odds and beat them, it will be AWESOME. Especially because my youth pastor is a huge OSU fan and I could REALLY aggravate him over it.

If anyone wants Wilson gone they are complete idiots. Wilson isn't the problem. Mallory is down the river in 3 weeks. If we pull out a miracle and make a bowl game I still hope they let him go after Purdue.
