I'm thinking at purdue an incident with a farm animal would be considered as normal and expected  behavior.

Seems as if Painter is losing respect of players. They keep doing incredibly stupid things. Compound that with being Purdue and you're really in a hole.

Purdue center A.J. Hammons has been suspended for two exhibition games and the regular season opener against Northern Kentucky because of team rules violations, coach Matt Painter announced Monday.

"A.J. has been suspended for the first three games of this season for conduct not representative of this program or university," Painter said. "We expect the young men in our program to meet certain standards, and they must be held accountable when those standards are not met."

The 7-foot center's suspension was not related to academics or legal matters, Painter said. Hammons averaged 10.6 points, six rebounds and two blocks per game and earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors last season.

Read that it's 'conduct' related. Probably skipping out on practice or habitually late. The kid just isn't a hard worker. Big and lazy. Until he fixes his work ethic problem he'll just be a big body.

What a joke. If you are going to suspend someone, then do it. If you aren't, then just bench him and don't play him. That will get the message boards and fans on them way more and make it embarrassing enough they don't want to be suspended.

Suspensions are officially a load of **** now a days.

A guy I worked with this past summer goes to purdue and actually runs the paint crew twitter account was trying to tellcme aj would be big ten player of the year. I didn't know whether to smack him to wake him up or just walk away.

The funny thing is, from the neck down, AJ Hammons is probably talented enough to be the Big Ten player of the year.

 

Of course, the game is also played from the neck up.
