(2014) ATH Antonio Woods to Penn

Air Force offered Summit Country Day senior QB Antonio Woods this morning, according to Summit coach Mike Brown. Woods has several other offers for football and basketball.

 

Woods has football offers either as a quarterback or athlete from UC, Akron, Illinois, Toledo, Kent State, Bowling Green, Miami University, Northwestern and Indiana. West Virginia offered as a defensive back.

 

Woods, who was an Enquirer Divisions V-VI co-player of the year this past football season, had 905 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns this past season. He also threw for 1,350 yards and 20 touchdowns for the Silver Knights.

Summit Country Day plays host to Lockland at 7 p.m. today on Senior Night. There are 10 seniors on the team this season. While the Silver Knights are projected to make the postseason, multiple seniors are leaving a legacy on the record books, according to coach Mike Brown:

 

Antonio Woods

  • 1st in All-Purpose Yards in a Career (5,856) (2,300 rushing, 46 receiving, 3,186 passing, 324 returning)
  • Leads second place by 2,618 yards
  • 1st in Most Passing Yards in a Career (3,186)
  • 1st in Most Passing Completions in a Career (207)
  • 1st in Most Passing Attempts in a Career (418)
  • 1st in Most Touchdown Passes in a Game (5 vs. CCD 2012)
  • 1st in Most Touchdown Passes in a Season (21 in 2012) (currently has 20 in 2013)
  • 1st in Most Touchdown Passes in a Career (44). Previous record was 27
  • 1st (tied) for Most Rushing Yards in a Game (275 vs. Dayton Christian)

I should've read the second post, it says WV offered him as a DB.  I asked because we need all the help we can get on D.

Yeah. Not exactly sure what IU is offering him as. All I have seen is ATH. He might be a defensive recruit for us also. One thing about him, it looks like we should really be able to fit him in somewhere.
