IU Haunted Hall of Hoops @ 2pm ET - 10/27

Recommended Posts

The Indiana University men's basketball team will hold its Haunted Hall of Hoops on Sunday, Oct. 27 in Assembly Hall. Admission is free. Doors to Branch McCracken Court will open at 2 p.m., with the Cream and Crimson scrimmage set to begin around 2:30.

"We have enjoyed doing this each year and this gives our players another opportunity to play in front of the best fans in the country," said IU Coach Tom Crean. "With the exhibition game the night before as well anyone who is a Hoosier fan should have the chance to meet, learn more about and see our team up close."

Games and Candy start at 2 p.m. and will continue through most of the scrimmage. Following the scrimmage, children in costume will be allowed to be in a parade on the Assembly Hall floor and group pictures with the coaches and players will be taken immediately afterward.

An autograph session for kids only will follow the parade. Each child will be given an item that is signed by team members. No personal items brought will be signed at this event.

Does anyone know if kids have to be in costume to get pics taken/autographs?  My 10 year old doesn't want to have a costume (other than IU fan, lol), but would die to meet the players.  I told her to dress in UK shirt and go as an undereducated semi-pro basketball player.

Costumes are encouraged but not required. You shouldn't have any problem. Plenty of IU gear will be there on Saturday.

I'm considering it. Have a 9 month old, but she needs to see Assembly Hall before her first birthday... Otherwise what kind of parent would I be??

Sweet!  Not telling her where were going, just getting in the car and heading (from Columbus).  Definitely a daddy/daughter day to remember!

That is excellent.  Wish I could go, but I have to work tomorrow.  Crazy time of year for us.  If you get pics of the place and the kids definitely share them.  Its events like this that make IU special this time of year.  Enjoy the day!  One of those days you will never forget!

Peter more in the game than last year, but always one of the last down the floor. Vonleh just has "it", Troy very talented. Hanner improved by leaps and bounds.
