One of the elite players in the Class of 2016, Tyus Battle is planning upcoming visits to both Syracuse and Ohio State, his father told SNY.tv. Gary Battle said they are planning on going to the Duke-Syracuse game Feb. 1 and the Michigan State-Ohio State game March 9.

 

Syracuse and Ohio State are near the top of a group of schools in the mix for the 6-foot-5 Battle, who went for 22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and four steals Thursday when Gill St. Bernard’s beat Hunterdon Central, 67-53. That group also includes Indiana, Villanova, Michigan, UConn and SMU.

 

Meantime, Villanova assistant Ashley Howard was at Battle’s game Thursday, one game after he went for 32 points.

This doesn't look like it has much more than the link above, but visiting Michigan June 7.  Syracuse is recruiting him as a PG and are probably a favorite right now.

Gary Battle listed Ohio State, UConn, Virginia, Villanova, Michigan, Syracuse and Indiana as those “working the hardest.”  Several of those schools are due in today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) to see the 6-5 Battle work out at Gill St. Bernard.

 

Syracuse assistant Mike Hopkins is due in today, with UConn’s Kevin Ollie, Virginia’s Jason Williford, Michigan’s Jeff Meyer  expected Friday.

 

“We are going to go to UConn in May,” he said. They are also planning a trip to Virginia June 20.

Don't think hell be a Hoosier. He plays at a school near mine and It seems as if Indiana is at the bottom of his list.
